India Superbike Festival to be hosted in Pune on 28th and 29th April

From Zigwheels:

Quote:
While motorcyclists abroad have been blessed with various bike shows, festivals and the works, we in India have been comparatively unfortunate in that regard. But not anymore. Its time to hear those big engines rev as superbikes of all shapes and sizes amass together for this mother of all bike meets.

The Indian Superbike Festival is all set to rock Pune on the 28th and 29th April 2012 at the Amanora Town Centre. And it’s not just the mean machines that will grab your attentions. Aftermarket parts, riding gear, other accessories and a whole lot more are sure to make this your one stop biking nirvana for the weekend.

Bikes apart, the place is set to groove on rock shows hosted by some renowned bands and some incredibly pulsating numbers by DJ’s. The best food joints along with a barbeque festival will take care of your appetite while you feast your eyes on the two wheeled beauties. Want to get in on the action? Call on 07709999980 or mail in at isfpune@gmail.com to get more info on these two days of adrenalin charged fun.

Re: India Superbike Festival to be hosted in Pune on 28th and 29th April

Hello Bhpians,

Had been to the show yesterday, started from McD's panvel at 7 am, the heat was bearable till Pune, once inside the city we were frying inside our riding suits. managed to reach Amonara City by 1030hrs after tons of stops and breaks.

The venue was a bit far but worth it, the setup was nice well laid out and detailed, the stalls by Aprilia, Harley & BMW were impressive, they had their entire range on display. PRS had an amazing display of the entire range of products, DSG too had a small cool setup.

All in all the event was well organised, the organizers were friendly, nice and warm, they ensured things were in control, the bikes were parked outside in a barricaded area manned by bouncers. Good music with live bands and lots of pit babes. Our SBK rider group from Mumbai just loved the show and i would like to compliment each and every one involved in the India Superbike Festival for an amazing show. You guys keep up the good work, we are already looking forward for this event next year and this time for us it will be a overnighter.

Before i close my comments just a couple of tips / suggestions for next time - Please have this event in Winters (Nov - Feb) also please provide some shade to park the bikes.

The loudest contest - some cheap thrills - fun none the less - All 3 were the Mumbai SBK riders

All the Mumbai SBKs on the way... What a line-up...

A few of us rode on Saturday; 3 Blackbirds, 2 Busas (1 not in picture) and a 2012 R1.

The ISF was a good first effort; teething troubles no doubt but should hopefully get better year-on-year.

I did see you guys when you had taken the first stop before ghats. Then later on saw you guys again, when you crossed me on the ghat curves.
That day, Mumbai Pune Expressway was completely jammed packed due to heavy traffic. I did pray for you guys.I am sure the heat coming out of the engines would have been unbearable during that traffic time.

I thought bikes were not allowed on the expressway. Have the rules changes to allow bikes on this stretch now?

Bikes are still not allowed on the expressway for the entire stretch. But to go to Lonavala/ Pune, one needs to pass through a small stretch of the expressway. You can say for about 3-4 kms.
