Why don't you have a look at the Triumph Tiger 800?. Its a great bike for our roads and not very expensive too.

Got the 03 CBR 600 F4i

Hey guys I am back with a new Bike, this time its a 2003 CBR 600 F4i. Got the bike shipped from Bangalore to Mumbai in May mid.
Had a chance to test ride the F4i on the Thane Nasik hwy last month.

Got only one working key with the bike, so programmed 2 more spare HISS keys for safety.

Didnt face any mechanical issues as such, just the regular chain slack and found the radiator is leaking a bit hence the heating range was between 105-116 degrees which is a bit higher than normal.

Came home and removed the radiator next day and gave it for leak test and repairs. The radiator is in last stages of its life and definitely will need a new one soon. Got it back the next day, changed the fan switch as the old one was turning on at 112 degrees and the new one now comes on at 90 and doesn't go above 105-110.

Another issue was the usual Honda cam chain tensioner, have order a new manually adjustable one from US.

Have bought a used Hot bodies MGP exhaust which i am going to fix once i am back to Mumbai in August.

Note from Support - Please refrain from mentioning high speed figures unless it was achieved on a private road/closed circuit/race track. Please avoid using short forms and type in full English.

Re: My '93 Honda CBR 600 F2

Its indeed a beautiful bike. I dont know if its just me, but I find this particular model/shape of CBR has a charm of its own that is timeless.

Do you also ride in Saudi Arabia?

Congratulations Yogi. That's a nice looking bike and seems to be in pretty good shape too. I'm assuming that you got the MGP Growler, right? That's one insanely loud exhaust.

Ride safe mate.

Thanks bro yes indeed F4i is one of the best looking bike from Honda stable. I was about to get a gen 1 busa or bandit but pocket didnt permit. I am out of Saudi since last 4 years bro, had enough 5 years over there. Now I am based in Iraq and commute 5 weeks on and 5 weeks off back to Mumbai. Not allowed to ride or drive here but move around in a B6 armored Land cruiser for safety.

Thanks Adi, it is in good shape and does ride well too, but it had its fall during the previous ownerships, can see some scuffs and scratches which seems to be a bit deep. Fortunately no damage to the frame or forks. Only left side Body panel is not in very good shape. Got the frame sliders installed for future safety.
Yes that's a MGP growler and is loud, waiting to get the bend pipe made and install it.

Here is the other thing which i have, finding time to learn how to wire these up and load the maps. Once i am confident enough to do it myself i will install it.

954 Reaches home

Finally she arrives home safely and enters the safe parking zone.
No specific mods planned yet, but have some basic things in mind like after market exhaust , spools , steering damper etc etc. Spent just few hours with her and left for Iraq this morning. Will be back on 25th Jan 2015, till then keep watching this space for more updates

Looks delicious and decently kept. Will wait for a detailed ownership report of this one too, like your earlier bikes.

And when you get back, have a photo session with Manson's Blade. Drooling at 954s never gets boring.
