re: My Suzuki Bandit S & Honda CBR 954RR (CBR 600 F2 & Hayabusa sold)

Got my hands on a used Power Commander 3 USB in the USA , waiting for a friend to get it here for me. Meanwhile trying to understand how these Maps work on the PC3. Got the Taichi gloves on the other hand. 4th pic shows a rear grab rail fabricated for the 954, which i want to get done here locally thru someone who can do a decent job.

In case you do, get two of those grab rails made please. Mighty useful stuff that.

Meanwhile, I'm highly frustrated here sitting in SG. Thinking of picking up a two-stroker Aprilia just for the heck of it.

re: My Suzuki Bandit S & Honda CBR 954RR (CBR 600 F2 & Hayabusa sold)

Hi yogisay,

Saw this group at the Kawasaki Palm Beach outlet today morning which was the meeting point for the Mumbai riders. The Hayabusa guy and me were lost while searching for KPB. But finally asked around and found it. The busa sounded good with those Yoshis. My favorite of the lot was the 90RR. Was nice talking to the owner too.

Yeps they were out for a short ride today. Did a short Panvel return. KPB was hard to find earlier but now with the new showroom even a blind man can see it. Let me ask them how they couldnt find the KPB
And that 900RR runs like a dream, super smooth and sweet sounding and with the first ever Rothmans scheme in India its a unique pc.

By the way here is the new surprise which i am waiting to get back and use it. SOL goes to Wife as she is insisting a lot to come for the future rides.(thinks I got a GF with whom i go out every weekend)

Update October 2015

Got back to India in the first week of October and got the PC3 along with me and installed it. I must say that PC3 is a must for 954 to improve the typical low end hickups of the 954 due to the HTEV. Running Akrapovic slipon map for now and this suits my riding.

A day before I was about to install the PC3, the Rothmans 900RR Stalled somewhere near Airoli and had to tow it down to my place and this is what we found. Burnt recitifier wiring, this is what happens when you do jugads instead of proper fixes. Not the current owners mistake , this is how he got the bike.

Congratulations! That's almost perfect company to the light and nimble blade. And this looks like a model from before the gentleman's agreement; unrestricted, is it?

P.S. Love the registration as well. Hope to see another detailed ownership experience.

Congrats Yogisay on the Dhoom bike. That's what you will keep hearing from many people now so does the Busa replace the 954?
Waiting to see some more pics and details on the Busa.

Difficult to say from the pics whether it's a restricted or an unrestricted model. I guess the only way to tell is the speedo calibration - the unrestricted ones (pre-2001) are calibrated to 340kmph and the restricted ones upto 300 kmph.

True. I assumed from the color scheme: this was a model 2000 (Y) color scheme IIRC. Restricted or otherwise, it's surely a hoot to look at and ride.

Thanks a ton Brother. yes its Y2000 Unrestricted 340KMPH Speedometer. Just started looking it into details and you would soon see updates on the Busa too. Started with the basics already like cleaning polishing, cleaning old oily and rusted switches. replacing the fairing push clips etc etc.

Yeah exactly already started hearing Dhoom bike dhoomchi gadi. Yeah its 340 KMPH calib Speedo unrestricted model. No it doesn't replace the 954, both stay and share the parking space.
