I am sure after a few months on launch and lackluster sales figures, the insane prices would be halved ...
2 lacs for a scooter - would make it a style statement, but that doesn't work in India.

Thats why it won't be up for sale off the shelf but made to order

The 946 in the u.s is going to cost ~ 10k usd which is way higher than 2 lac price slated for india

A true vespa fan will buy it(yes numbers will be small)

Quite frankly if vespa comes up with an 'exchange mela' and give a good price for my exisitng lx 125 ,i'll go for the 946

For a product to be tagged premium, just a premium price wont work! We need to have premium services and comforts surrounding it! This will be a good looking scooter with sub-par arrogant dealership network who think they are the premium people before whom everyone should bow!

A comfortable ride(bike feel please), good looks, nice handling, so so mileage backed by either an online buy option/courteous dealer - I will buy not one, but two - Black for riding at day time and white for the evening ride!
