I really liked the VO2 from Vance & Hines that I installed on a Fat Bob. Check them out. Found them to be better than the Screamin Eagles stage 1.

Dhiraj sir,

Don't think they have come out with anything for 2014 sportsters. Have they?

I think they are compatible. Give them a email query and they will reply. But ideally it should be used with some kind of fuel management system like a Fuel Pak.

Partha,

Better read up this link, though I don't know how the "Indian" version reads.

http://www.ocnyhog.com/officer_duties.html

Or the one below if you can read up 125 pages

https://members.hog.com/website/chap...r_Handbook.pdf

I am waiting for the Tatooed Shubz

Best Regards & Ride Safe

Ram

Re: I just got Har-Ley'd! My Iron 883

1 - I have been officially inducted as a HOG Officer - Activities officer.

2 - I will be upgrading to the super tuner / stage 1 air cleaner - - Question here is (noob one indeed) - besides gain in torque/bhp/performance etc - Will there be a gain in (exhaust) noise as well?

One of the reasons I respect the HOG (despite some serious negativities associated with some groups ridding HD) is the tremendous Camaraderie and synergy that exists with in the HOG in most of the places

One example of this was exhibited over the weekend in Dubai/UAE

Hats Off Guys !!!

(Shaheen - is the name of a a HOG which I believe is made up of Arabic Speakers)

Shubz hope you know what you are taking on and may you make the bangalore HOG the best in India

Best Regards & Ride Safe

Re: I just got Har-Ley'd! My Iron 883

Thanks Ram sir. And thanks to forums like Team-BHP and many other similar forums, I think I know what I am getting into and fervently hope I am able to live up to the expectations of the title.

Riding in proper formation - was one of the objectives on every ride along with other objectives like, Not hampering highway traffic, No zig-zagging on the freeways, respecting distance between bikes etc.

Now with the "tag" I am able to enforce this more authoritatively.

Second - I am now complete on Stage 1 performance upgrage.

SE Super tuner,
SE Stage 1 Air filter
VnH Twin slash 3" slip ons.

Performance has definitely changed. It is much much torquier (if I can use this term), Top speed has improved quite well. Though I do not want to quote any figures here, I sure could say it could go more than 3 quarters of the dial and about 10-15% of throttle still remaining.

Thanks sir.

Right now concentrating on these
1) Weekend rides - gather as many riders to represent the chapter.
2) Overnight rides
3) Ride for a cause
4) Catch up with Regional chapters. Ex: Bangalore Chapter meets Chennai Chapter and so on....
More to follow..

Re: I just got Har-Ley'd! My Iron 883

A question to some of the experts on this thread.

It is time I change my front tyre and I was casually enquiring about the Michelin tires outside and it looks it is available for 4.5 K less compared to the one at the HD Showroom. While the config is the same, the only difference is the HD logo that is missing on these.

Have you tried the tyre outside HD showroom on your bike? What are the advantages / disadvantages and some key things I need to keep in mind in case I get the same fitted outside?

Thank you for your assistance.

Mich outside you are getting would be not a scorcher11 and of different speed rating.
With every thing same and same speed rating mich is available for around 9k on ebay! Its highly unlikely you would get everything same for 4k less.
But few of fellow Hogs are using pirelli and are quite satisfied.
Oem scorchers are most grippy ones, they never ever move about no.matter what you do with your bike mid corner! But at the same time lasts much shorter.

Its perfectly fine to fit tyres outside! Does not void warranty or anything!

Thanks for the details Dustom_99.

The HD dealer has quoted 14.5K for the tyre and one of the performance racing store is offering the same for 10K. I need to check on the speed rating though. Not sure if it is Scorcher11.

I was searching through Pirelli site and I suppose Sports Demon is not available for Superlow. Can you share the spec details of the higher profile tire you have mentioned in your post in case you have it handy.

Appreciate you assistance and thanks once again!
