But one good thing is that most of the humps are now better designed.

There is nothing that can escape the treacherous speedbreakers in Bangalore. It's really a shame to see such a fine city littered with speedbreakers very few mins (not kms)

I was travelling in an Etios cab last week for 2 days in bangalore and being such a fine back seat, even there it was really a bother as there are simply too many speed breakers in Bangy

Goodluck on you not hitting the bumps:)

Should I open a new topic/thread or what - kindly suggest.

Certainly. You should open a new thread for sure. People are bored of reading the same old threads:D

Please use the Assembly Line to construct your thread and report it to go live. It's rather simple and we look forward to your story in your style.....

Congratulations SDRam!
May i ask when you booked your Superlow? The lead time they mention varies from 6 months to 8 months !Thanks!

Thanks. Booked my ride in June end and got it in the end of October. Almost 4 months. They had given me a lead time of 6 months during booking.
Have you booked one?

Congrats SDRam. May I suggest you put the rear springs to the stiffest (highest) settings. They come at the softest (lowest) settings by default from the factory. That should increase the ground clearance just enough so as to not scrape at all the road bumps. Though you will need to be careful at the bigger bumps. Gradually this is a quirk of the bike that you will make peace with and alter your riding style over bumps for it. I hope the torque must be blowing you over coming from the smaller bikes. Kindly break-in the bike properly and do not exceed speed limits for now. Do also open a new thread so that we can enjoy your ownership experience.

Thank you sir. I had gone through your thread and noted this point but faltered at the time of taking delivery. Will get it done during the first service.
I am breaking in into the ride instead of vice-versa!!
Not yet crossed 60Kmph - Very difficult in city rides to attain top gear.
Sure, Will try to build a new thread.

Thanks @mobike008 for your wishes. Certainly neeed them in many numbers in Bangalore sorry Namma Bengaluru. I wish the authorities are enlightened enough so as to remove the unscientific bumps atleast. Wish their boss gets himself a HD superlow as soon as possible:)

I must confess to the fact that I am not a great story teller but will try to build a good thread with the help of you all people.
Regarding Assembly line - I didn't know how to do it when I read your post but now I have searched and read. Thanks for that.

No. The way they keep changing the lead time scares me, considering other outlets of HD in India are offering bikes in 2 months flat. I am hoping to ride the SuperLow soon, though i believe they do not have one at present. Just last week a friend in Hyderabad took delivery of an Iron just a week after booking it.

Thats odd! I thought the situation changed once HD launched street 750. The reason being 70% of the assembly time and effort was given to it so that they can meet the demand (not sure of the % though, but was huge). On the other hand, I got my superlow in 6 months, here in Gurgaon. Now the bike is here but still dont have it because of slow loan processing. Man that hurts, a lot!

My denim black iron arrived at the showroom and the RTO formalities are complete. The PNA i ordered shall arrive on 27th Nov. Post fitting I'd take the delivery. In the meanwhile I managed to get a few clicks in its stalk state.

Here is one of the pictures. My friend took them from his Canon 5D.

Congrats Vista. Save money for a pair of slip-on; its a must.

If my info is correct, Cochin dealer has Irons in stock.

@Vista - Congratulations on your bike! Awesome pics! Hope you get your bike real sooooon! and look forward to your ownership thread as people might get bored of seeing updates on an age old thread like mine lol:

Congrats @vista on your new ride.
Welcome to the Harley family.

Shubz and SDRam. Thank you all the way from my booking till today. Time just flew by reading your thread. I'll start my thread soon....

Congrats Vista. Iron 883 in black looks superb and is my favorite color on this Harley

Is my assumption correct that you have already taken delivery of your bike?

Apart from the regular mods, I would recommend you to change the seats to tan pure leather, it would look killer on your bike:)

Look forward to your detailed ownership thread soon

Cheers and Ride Safe !!!

P.S: Btw, forgot to mention. Nice DoF on the images !!

Thanks @r_nairtvm
Would like to meet you all and ride together sometime.
Have been reading many of your posts. Very useful.

Thank you r_nairtvm. Sure, I'll eagerly await a chance to ride with you all.

Thank you mobike008. My bike shall be ready on 27th Nov. I'm waiting for 2 parts. Direction indicators with mirror replacing the stock ones and the rear bib fender. Once fitted I'll take the delivery.
