hmmmmm, i voted for black with a buffed lip, but i can see it won't gel with your bike!!
Red and black seems like the way to go!!! Looks great!!!

OT: How did you manage to bend the rim?? More interestingly, how did you fix a bent rim???

tough one

i had to drag my hand away from the all black , cos thats my absolute all time favourite colour for anything at all ! when in doubt go black !

but i can see how black would take away from the design and kinda merge (if you get what i mean )

so crimson with buffed lip is the alternate chice here , was thinkin of different options like maybe bronze or gun metal rim and spokes ???? dunno how it would look but just a thought ,
( i'll understand if it makes you barf though !!!! )

cheers
star .

Not a fan of Gold for this bike. Plus, it will be hell to keep clean!

Bronze is out!! Gun metal is kinda what it has on now, which I want to get rid off!! lol

I'm back to thinking of black. All black with a thin red strip on the rim just near the sidewall of the tyre. Like this:

Rim was heated up at the bent section and set back in shape. Luckily it was not that bad to render the rim as ruined. Its now back on and running great. Cost is about Rs.600 for fixing the wheel, plus other things like OE bearings which have been replaced as well.

A black rim gives an illusion of the tyre being beefier.
Or else go for a completely different colour.
A dark maroon shade on the tyres won't look all that good and a different red shade won't go too well with the maroon body.
Or how about chroming them ?
I personally would prefer all black

BTW, there's a ZZR on sale on xbhp.com for 3.25.
It's maroon and claimed to be of 99.
Thought it was yours
Now I realised it is not

Status is that I'm currently just finding places to keep my bike out of the rain and floods! Rain god's have not given me a chance this week to do any work at all!

But, as far as the decision goes, I'm going with the last option - All black with just one red strip.
