Painting my bike's wheels. What should I go for?

Thanks to our lovely roads, my front rim got bent and I had to fix it. Consequently the paint has discoloured, forceing me to get my rims painted. I was never fond of the stock graphite colour that came with them anyways, so using this as a chance to switch to something a bit better looking.

My bike is crimson/met. red/maroon (whatever is called).

The options I'm thinking off are:
1. All black, with a semi-gloss finish (so its easier to clean)

2. Crimson hub/spokes with buffed lip like this

3. Black hub/spokes with buffed lip.

4. Stock colour

5. Suggestions?

Hey,

Paint the rim black and keep the hub/spokes in crimson red. Should look hot or paint the spokes the colour of your bike.

Hmmm...interesting idea Viper. Never thought of that combo. Need some kind sole here to do some photoshopping now!!

I have also cleaned the dirty-looking tire (lol), and added a black crackle finish to the engine cover, along with the mod you have requested.

To understand the full effect, I suggest you open both the images in adjacent tabs and then compare them side by side.

Thanks for that pic V12. You've just helped me rule out the black/chrome combo. I don't like it at all.

the more I look at it, the more I like Viper's idea of the black lip and red spokes!

OFFTOPIC : hers my bike with buffed lip and black spokes , the alloys are after market 18" wheels and came like this .

That looks nice on the pulsar bacause you can see more of the spokes. On my bike, the brake discs cover up most of the wheel, so black spokes will not show up at all.
