The Harley Davidson Street 750 to be priced at INR 4.1 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi.


1. Bookings for the Street 750 open on 1/3/14 & will be available across 13 Harley-Davidson dealerships in India.
2. Powered by the Revolution X V-Twin engine which is liquid-cooled with a single overhead cam, four valves per head and a 6-speed transmission.
3. The Street 750 will roll on MRF Zapper tires.
4. The Street 750 will also be built and exported to select international markets from the company’s assembly facility in Bawal, Haryana
5. Street 500 is expected to hit the streets in a year.

Can someone please educate me on what the total cost will be after all necessary tax/registration ? And what is the expected mileage ? I'm positively thrilled by this motorcycle and if the mileage is good , I will go ahead with a test drive .

Mileage is important because a neighbour of mine has the HD- 48 and it has a range of less than 100km before going empty which is simply unacceptable , atleast need a 200km range on full tank .

Nice to see HD trying to grab a significant pie in premium bike segment.

Oh boy, that sure is killer pricing. Enfield better watch out. At this price, I expect many to jump ship.
That said, Harley has always been synonymous with gangs and hell's angels etc., so its fitting that they chose "Bawal, Haryana" as their location

PS: Bawal means a sort of "riot".

4.1 is ex-showroom, I am guessing Bangalore on road will work out to around 4.5-4.7 laks.

Waiting for the KTM to be updated in the Bajaj thread and hoping there is a 390 Adventure in it which will be launched soon.

410K does sound very interesting. Should be seen how well the market accepts it though. Looks are very much like a mini NightRod. Would be worried about the GC and the way those rubbers handle the torque and Indian roads.

This is a win win for all. Harley 750 should do well at this pricing. With the HOG experiences, I am sure the owners will be hooked to their Harley's. Eventually when they upgrade, I am sure Harley will be the preferred choice.

4.1 lakhs is ex showroom delhi. Add another 1 lakh for taxes in karnataka and another 80k to 1Lk for road tax and misc. It more likely to be around 6 to 6.5 lakhs onroad in bangalore.

The super low, which is 5.5 lakhs ex showroom delhi, is around 7.5 lakhs on road bangalore. That should give you a fair idea.

4.1 Lakh ex-showroom + 50K Road tax in Karnatala (12%) + 5K Cess (10% of tax) + ~15K Insurance (not sure).
It comes around 4.8 - 4.9 Lakh OTR in Bangalore.

I don't know how a motorcycle with that kind of ground clearance is feasible in India. Particularly, if someone is serious about riding it anywhere.
