Kawasaki releases the 2015 ZX10R and ZX6R Post the all-new 2015 R1 spy pics on the net, there was a strong belief that the 2015 ZX10R will be also an all-new model. The current one is a 2011 release and by Kawasaki standards should have been due for a complete revamp in 2015.
Sadly, Kawasaki has decided to stick to its current model even in 2015 maybe because it is still a darn good machine in comparison to whatever else sells out there today. Loaded with technology and power, the current 10R is still hovering around the top of the litre bike food chain messing around with the RSV4s and the HP4s. Sure it cannot match the oopmh and aah of the Europeans but then its nowhere near as pricey as them either. With 210 PS on tap, Traction Control, ABS, Slipper clutch, power modes and Showa big piston forks it still is a very very competent machine. So much so that this is the bike that won the WSBK title last year.
So 2015 happens to be the year of the 30th anniversary of the Ninja and to celebrate the same, the ZX6R and the ZX10R come with brand new colour scheme for 2015. The current ZX6R-636 model is still just about a year old so was never expected to overhaul this year. It still remains one of the best 600s in the market and one of the very few in the class to sport traction-control. Maybe looking at the way the Daytona 675 is raking up sales figures, Kawasaki should consider bringing in the 636.
Look closely and you will see the green theme being carried over to the rear spring and the triple clamp.
Personally I prefer the 2014/13 colour to this new one. But then that's just me.
The scoop also claims no mechanical changes in the bike over last year and the Kawasaki USA website also doesn't mention any changes. So much for that rumoured quickshifter addition to the 10R ! http://www.sportrider.com/bikes/2015...src=SOC&dom=fb |
