Can somebody try and update me as to how the bike looks now?
A few pictures of this beauty would be welcome

Oh No!!! Not my money, not my bike. And not doubting CMC Customs.

But I would loved it if the owner had kept that awesome Ducati stock except for some performance based tuning.

Its sad to see such a beast in this state. Was just wondering, what will be the cost of restoring it back to its original condition after such a crash?

Somewhere in the ballpark of a hatchback? Or more?

Really sad to see. Looks like a new handle bar and tank would be required. Hats off to the owner to take it all the way to Delhi to try it on a proper circuit.

I'd be interested to know whether the rider and the owner were the same person.

If they aren't, I hope the rider absconded immediately from the scene of the crash, for his own sake.

Sad to read about crash.
I felt stock bike looked beautiful compared to this custom one. I can stare at her all day

Sourcing parts and getting them repainted again will take more time. Wish ducati starts operations again under VAG group asap in india.

Glad the owner is using the machine how its supposed to be used rather than keep it in a studio. Accidents happen, brush off the dust, repair the bike and ride on. Its just two wheels and it happens.

For all you fans of this bike there is a guy who rode this bike a circle round the US and now has given up his job to ride around the world.

Folks meet Antihero.

I agree that leaving it as a showpiece would be silly, but I also think you're being a little too generous with the former part of that sentence.

If I paid through every orifice to import a bike, paid more to get its look customized, and then paid even more to take it to a circuit to ride it, dropping it on its first day on the track is not really what I'd call "using it like it is is supposed to be used".

Now I don't know the details of how the crash happened, but from the photo it looks like a standard low-side on a right hander. If it was, and I was the rider, I'd be ready to hurl myself off the nearest cliff.

Of course, that's just me. Takes all sorts, I suppose.

I similarly low sided, again on a track, on my Duke, and on the right, while practising (and over pushing on really cold tyres) for one of the Orange Days a little more than a year ago.

It happens bro.

I paid approximately 300-400 rupees to replace the damaged parts (so I do see your point).

Then promptly the next day in the Orange Day one over-eager puppy rammmed into my back side and broke my tyre hugger .....

It happens. Its racing.
