Just asking for knowledge, incase someone wants to buy from Delhi/Mumbai, how does it work? Who manages the transport and registration?

Yay!! Hope they open soon.

Also hoping the versys 650 is launched by the time ducati bangalore is operational, if not the scrambler would be very tempting against the versys. (how i wish there was optional windscreen, aux lights and panniers available as OEM accessories for the scrambler)
And if the latest web info is to be believed, the India bound versys 650 would be without the ABS, which IMO is major drawback. :(

It's not even been a year since launch of Scrambler but there are already several offerings from the usual suspects - Ducati, Givi, Dart, Puig, DM Telai, Hepcko & Becker and a few more which I've seen online. I was sceptical about the suitability of panniers on a Scrambler but to my my surprise they don't look half as bad as I'd feared. Give it a year or so and the accessory market for Scrambler will be a crowded one. I'm using a Dart screen and it helps a lot on highways. No plans for touring so no panniers yet. No ideas about the aux lights as I don't believe in messing about with Ducati electricals but I'm sure there will be something if one looks hard enough.

So my source of info was spot on. Going by the pic Manish posted, the showroom is indeed next to the Jimmy Choo Store in UB City.

However I was told that the showroom will be operational in the first half of May so it is now delayed by a good 3 months or so !

From the last info I have, they are planning to order bikes in next few weeks. August-September seems to be realistic time frame for the opening.

Which one of these are making their way on to your machine?

The first screen is pretty good than the ones on the Full Throttle and Enduro.

Mate I've got the Dart flyscreen in midnight tint (2nd from top). Waiting for the matt silver colour DM Telai rear rack to be back in stock (2nd from bottom). No plans of panniers as yet.

Update: heard Ducati is coming to Cochin and EVM would be the dealer.

Good to see lot of accessory option for Scrambler within a short period.

Shubhankar,

All that I am told is, it will open on the October but no further details have been shared there after. (Heard they are pretty much on schedule though)

If you have contacts with India Garage folks, they can probably give you the inner dope.

I spoke to them a couple of days back. Test ride bikes are on their way and will be landing and getting registered soon. Booking will start by 15th Sept and test rides by last week of Sept. The actual showroom itself will be open on 1st Oct and delivery of bikes by 15th Oct. They have tied up with HDFC bank for finance and they are working out the insurance deal to get the on-road prices.

There is a lot of carpentry work going on in the 1st floor of UB mall, Bangalore (space earmarked for the Ducati showroom). Was there two days back and I could see a lot of people working in there. Looks like it will be open soon.

I do love the fact the locality Ducati has chosen for their showroom in blore. But IMO, they should have probably looked at setting up a exclusive showroom like space (something like triumph or Indian motorcycle, etc) somewhere else.
Being a crowd puller and in a mall, I feel, it will be quite jostled up and could take away that exclusivity that this beauty drives. Never the less, glad to see ducati in blore.
