You said it! Indeed was an amazing group. Thank you! :-)

Seat -- is VERY comfortable. I kinda sunk in well and no sore butt or sore inner thigh etc.

The total distance was -- as in the last pic above - minus about 60 kms it already had run in the city.

Not sure if I can get one like that for this bike. The tail bracket is humungous. all I can think of now -- immediate solution is -- get a smaller number plate suiting just the screw hole dimensions

Congratulation on the bike. The Multi is absolutely stunning to look at.

There is this guy in Delhi. He can make a custom plate for her. I have asked for the same as well. Here is the link. Hope this can help.

Ducati 959 Panigale unveiled at IBW; bookings open

Ducati has unveiled the 959 Panigale superbike at the ongoing 2016 India Bike Week. This motorcycle is positioned below the 1299 Panigale and carries over similar design traits with a lower engine capacity and power output.

The 959 Panigale is powered by a 955cc, L-twin engine, which produces 155 BHP and 107.4 Nm of torque. It uses a 6-speed Ducati Quick Shift transmission. The bike gets a monocoque aluminium frame and has a kerb weight of 195 kg.

Bookings for the 959 Panigale are open at all Ducati dealerships across the country. The bike will be available in the traditional Ducati red body colour and black wheels. It will hit the showrooms in July 2016, at a price of Rs. 14.04 lakh (ex-Delhi).

Re: Ducati to re-enter India in 2015. EDIT: Bikes priced from Rs. 7.08 lakhs (page 6)

I purchased the 899 Panigale a while back, the 959 was basically just launched because the 899 wasn't fitting into the Euro4 emissions.
Power is up from 148 bhp to 158 bhp due to the larger displacement engine (cc up by 57) but at the same time the weight is up approx 20 pounds and they have added an ugly exhaust too, to reduce the sound emissions.
Reviews haven't really found any major performance difference between this and the 899 plus the price has been raised by 1 lakh!

A friend picked up a Multistrada 1200 today. As per the showroom folks the Diavel is the hottest selling model in India followed by the Scrambler & Multistrada.

I have heard that plenty of used Diavel's are there in the market as well so obviously its a hot selling Ducati. I've also heard that the Diavel suffers from some sprocket/chain issue. I do not have much dope about it and could be wrong as well. So just asking, is there any such issue to be worried about for future customers? Any info regarding this would help.

Apart from fellow bhpians gthang (Diavel Carbon) and Artem (Diavel Dark), I do not remember any other bhpian owning a Diavel in the forum. It would be great if they can clarify this.

And I must say, Aman bhai we are waiting for the ownership thread of your latest acquisition.

I can confirm. Many folks reporting chain n sprocket issues with the Diavel. Now there is a recall of few Multistrada fuel gauge. Mine happens to be among them. An upgraded fuel gauge will be installed by Ducati free of cost

I rode to Hyderabad this morning. Started at around 6:30 and checked in at Novotel by 12:30 .. God knows how I did it. This is one awesome bike. Made two fuel stops. One bfast stop. One grub stop. 😊

Well my friend is using a 3 year old Diavel without any such issues. Still around 10k, maybe the low mileage has seen the issue yet to crop up. But I have seen some Diavels up for sale going around 12~13L. Maybe because that's the one that sold the most. Good for us, as the market matures, more such exotics will be available at better resale prices. Was planning a Diavel as a secondary bike myself and with such prices for barely run bikes, it may be sooner than later.

Cheers..
