TNT 600 GT
DSK-Benelli launches 5 motorcycles in India-1benelli1.jpg

This tourer is powered by the same engine as the 600i (600 cc, inline 4-cylinder, 4 stroke, DOHC, water-cooled engine that makes 85.07 BHP @ 11,500 rpm and 54.6 Nm of torque @ 10,500 rpm):
DSK-Benelli launches 5 motorcycles in India-2benelli1.jpg

The 600 GT is the only motorcycle in the tourer segment with a 600 cc engine:

Projector headlamp:

Turn-indicator integrated into the fairing:

Benelli says the semi fairing helps improve aerodynamics:
DSK-Benelli launches 5 motorcycles in India-5benelli1.jpg

Stopping power comes from hydraulic double discs up front and single disc at the back. The 300 and 600s get brakes made by Benelli themselves:

Colour options include Verde Army, Bianco White and Nero Black:

Carry cases with integrated reflectors:

Indicators curve inwards, as if to make way for any violent movement of the cases on rough terrain:

Like it or not, you can't ignore the design:

Side guard takes away the premium appeal:

Note how the carry case is wider than the front guard:

Case is lockable:

The rider sits rather high. Tank capacity = 27 litres!

Instrument cluster adopts a clean layout:

Switchgear looks rather primitive:

TNT 899
DSK-Benelli launches 5 motorcycles in India-67benelli1.jpg

The TNT 899 is powered by a 898 cc, inline, 3-cylinder, 4 stroke, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine that makes around 121 BHP @ 9,500 rpm and 88 Nm of torque @ 8,000 rpm:

Sleek tail-lights:

Underseat exhaust + thin pillion seat. You do the math:

Sachs hydraulic monoshock absorber:

Fuel tank flanks and the low slung headlamp cluster give the TNT 899 an aggressive stance:
DSK-Benelli launches 5 motorcycles in India-72benelli1.jpg

Larger pillion won't find this seat comfortable:

Small and basic instrument cluster:

Alien-like fascia looks quirky, but great:

Hydraulic double disc brakes. The TNT 899 and 1130 get Michelin tyres and Brembo brakes (as opposed to the Pirelli tyres / Benelli brakes on the others):

TNT R (1130)

The range topping superbike is powered by a 1131 cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve, DOHC, inline 3-cylinder engine that makes 158 BHP @ 10,200 rpm and 120 Nm of torque @ 8,400 rpm:
DSK-Benelli launches 5 motorcycles in India-42benelli1.jpg

Marzocchi-inverted front telescopic forks and dual hydraulic disc brakes. None of the bikes are available with ABS, but Benelli may consider offering it as an option at a later stage:

This speed demon looks spectacular in gold:

Italians know their style!:

Switchgear is nothing out of the ordinary:

Cooling fans for the engine:

Dry clutch! Not sure how this will cope with Indian conditions:

Takes a keen eye to tell the 899 and 1130 apart:

Carbon fiber look for the exhaust too:

Turn-indicator integrated seamlessly:

Bend pipes sit rather low. Tackling speed breakers will warrant caution:

Re: DSK Motowheels to bring Benelli Motorcycles to India

600's have been priced well but 899 looks a bit steep IMO.
1130 pricing is cool when compared to competition.

That's because only the 899 and 1130 are actually made by benelli in Italy. The rest are built in China

Re: DSK Motowheels to bring Benelli Motorcycles to India

Wow. Killer pricing except for the 899.
1130 at 11.81 is a steal. For me the 600i makes the most sense, it looks poised to make a huge dent in sales of N650 as well as Striple to some extent. Watch out

I am aware of it but they could have bought them as CKD.
Benelli 600i seems very VFM when compared to stock street triple (comparing power figures alone) but Benelli 899 does not have a direct competition in India.

Re: DSK Motowheels to bring Benelli Motorcycles to India

The TNT 600i with a 4-cylinder mill is probably the best VFM big bike in India currently. It has been praised well in the reviews so far, only grouse being the lack of an ABS.

Also, that sound from the underseat exhausts deserves a mention !!

I have seen the whole line-up during the India Superbike Festival and the Autocar Performance Show. The TNT 600i looked decent to me in red. The front end is a little bland, but the rear looks killer !

I'm not sure that they would be confident of strong no's for the 899 and above to justify the investment at this point of tine. I guess they may explore the CKD route if the market exists.

Re: DSK Motowheels to bring Benelli Motorcycles to India

Thanks for the pics EngineRoars and baraclad!

The 600's pricing seems spot on and am sure this is going to be their best selling bike. Beware N650/ER-6N, Speed Triple and Z800!

In terms of looks, I feel that the 899/1130 are true Benelli's - they have that mean and beefy Italian look. No wonder they are built by Benelli, Italy. The 600's - they look good too. But not as imposing as their elder brother. It seems the 600 was designed by the Chinese. The headlights are too small and not as smashing as the 899 - it would have looked better with a bigger and better shaped headlight.

An in-line 4 cylinder 600cc bike for ~6.5 lakhs OTR - the day we all were waiting for is finally here. How many Team-BHPians are planning to book / already booked a Benelli?
