Nothing comes easy for any of the bikes in this segment sir.

The Indian market is at very early stages - many segment consumers don't even know for sure why they are buying into a particular type of bike. There is no lifestyle legacy or peers to learn from. Add to it the crazy import laws.

That said, the Scrambler is essentially a low tuned Monster with killer retro looks, an upright seating position and dual purpose tires. A combination which has hit the sweet spot and set Ducati sales charts on fire in several countries. India is unfortunately not yet one of them.

Oh and btw, heartiest congratulations on your new steed. Looks stunning in olive!

I was infact toying around with the idea of the scrambler, but then the HD was a 7 year dream, which has finally came true!

Re: First Ride - Ducati Scrambler

Great choice bro. You have bought into one of the top bike brands. No doubts about that.

A Ducati was a 12 year old unattainable dream for me too so I know exactly the significance of that emotion!

Re: First Ride - Ducati Scrambler

Here's an important message for all current & future owners of Scrambler 803.

My Scrambler's clutch plates gave way on a recent road trip. Just collected my bike back after a clutch plate replacement.

The service advisor shared with me that Scramblers have been shipped from the factory with incorrect clutch settings with little or no free play. Some were adjusted for free play at the time of handover while some were not.

A free play in the clutch is very important for this bike else it can mean an early failure of the clutch plates. Please go and get yours checked and ask for a demo of how much free play should be there at all times normally.

Sharing the official advisory on this topic which I recd. from the SA:

Re: First Ride - Ducati Scrambler

Any idea if the rear mudguard and number plate from the Classic can be fitted on the Icon?
