Must be growing older! :D

Another small goodie arrived. Planning to install everything together probably by next month -

Why this particular horn instead of the popular Symphony ones? Less attention from Police, and I feel these ones capture attention more due to their sharp notes!

If you've been honked at by Innova cabbies or Fortuner politicians - you'll know. :D

A much needed accessory indeed CD. The single horn (and the exhaust too) is barely audible so need something more audible to warn jaywalkers. I have the Denso which has a similar tone.

CD can you suggest a good pair of headlight bulbs with a good spread. I was thinking of LED bulbs but since I will have to cut the dustcaps - looking for a simple direct fit option.

Is the bulb spec H7? If yes try the Osram night breaker Laser. Should cost around 2500 bucks. Much much better than stock bulbs.

Not so easy KP. Blame it on the reflector design, but I haven't heard positive comments from anyone regarding a bulb upgrade - even to LEDs. A good pair of AUX lights seems to be unavoidable.

Regarding LEDs - Hearing good reviews about the below one from Ali Express from a Versys owner (Haren in the group, v12).

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/HlXG...6e2d2e0etdkDKt

What makes them special? The size is a bit lesser than the usual bulbs found on the market and that seems to match the reflector design better, and sits inside the dust caps - though can't be 100% sure since his dust caps were already cut for an earlier bulb.

Another option is to get the dust cover from Ali Express too - there are many sizes available as per the base diameters of these LED lamps. For example -

Agree with the fact that bulbs will do only as much as the reflector quality. My input was solely on the bulbs. Stock vs performance bulbs, osram is way better.

These bulbs are interesting. 65mm for H7 is as small as the halogen bulb size. I will order a set for R3 and see how it fits.

PS: I have no complaints on the R3 lights apart from aligning it correctly. They are bright with good spread/reach.

Yes true.

One thing with night breaker laser though - the life is less, specially the low beams which act as DRLs too.

:thumbs up

Was a working day today, and had to get back home by 8:30am. So decided to head out early morning to watch the sunrise - as I've been doing recently whenever no major rides / drives were planned.

Was an extremely foggy morning where the sun could not even be seen as a hint of light till 8:30am, when I reached back home!

Got some real fresh air and relaxation anyways!

A close friend and BHPian took delivery of his sparkling black Ninja 1000 today (Will let him reveal the purchase himself later :D) . Had been to the showroom and also to Gear Gear Motorcycles where the Ninja got all the basic accessories fitted -

Meanwhile at Gear Gear, got the chain checked and tightened - and looks like it has some more life left in it - relieved!

Took the Versys to office due to lack of time (after almost one year) and that also meant I got the opportunity to get the bike clicked at my favourite location in campus -

^^ There is one mechanic Jagadeesh there. Nice chap. Know him for almost a decade. Took my R3 too for some work, will have it documented on the ownership thread.

Oil seal! :)

The owners of the place are all Versys owners (current / upgraded) too - similar with Bikenbiker above. Infact, with the warranty getting over next month - I might be getting most of the work done from here only.

Skipped one 6 month service at Kawasaki too - following the kilometers interval, rather than their 6 months interval.

Yet another piece of the jigsaw puzzle arrived today -

Very curious to see how you mount a phone on this mount. Please post photos once you do so.
