Kawasaki ZX-10RR launched in India at Rs. 21.9 lakh Kawasaki has launched the ZX-10RR in India at a price of Rs. 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new bike is essentially a track-focused, special edition variant of the ZX-10R. It is a limited edition offering, with a global production run of just 500 units.
The ZX-10RR comes with some added equipment that is inclined towards enhancing track experience of the rider. It is powered by a 998 cc engine that gets multiple performance tweaks like a stronger crankcase and carbon-coated tappets. The cylinders have been given some added thickness at the bottom which accommodates the race-spec pistons. All these changes are made to improve the engine's durability under high-stress conditions. The bike also gets a KQS quick-shifter for clutchless shifts. Additionally, the ZX-10RR is being offered with optional race kits that further enhance the bike's performance and dynamics.
The above changes haven't resulted in any boost in the engine's output, as the ZX-10RR produces the same 197 BHP @ 13,000 rpm and 113.5 Nm of torque @ 11,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Features like the Bosch Inertial Management unit (IMU), 3-stage launch control and 5-stage traction control have been carried forward from the regular ZX-10R. Link to Team-BHP News
