Triumph Bonneville recalled in India for fuel pump sub-harness

Quote:
Triumph Motorcycles is recalling a limited number of bikes in the Bonneville range for what the company calls "preventive part replacement".

Triumph dealers are advising customers not to ride the bikes in question till the part is replaced.
The problem is with bikes in certain chassis number series, in the fuel pump sub-harness.

Triumph is in the process of replacing the faulty part pre-emptively. In an email to owners of the affected bikes, Triumph says this is part of "a global exercise by the company to ensure stringent quality standards and customer safety."

Does this recall and replacement apply to the new range of Bonneville's such as the Street Twin, etc. or the older outgoing models as well?

The article is not clear and does not mention which models are affected.

You can check with you service center by giving them bike's chassis number. A proactive measure may work for you here.

Just call the dealer, but if i am not mistaken it is for street twin model. Triumph website also has details of recall based on VIN number.

Just checked, the recall is only for the international models. Not for our India market bikes. This is apparently old news. Checked with the service manager at Triumph.
