Thanks Axe! Yes, it is the same. Next to VW (Same dealer, BU Bhandari).

Re: Triumph Street Triple 765 - Launched at Rs. 8.50 lakh

Two buddies in my riding group have a Street Triple. One has a 675 and the other has a 765S. The 765's clutch is painful to use, we tried many combinations as far clutch play goes, but no result.

Any help in this regard? The thumb and the palm area associated with it was worse affected.

The headlamp high and low switch is better [conventional] incorporated in 675 than 765.

Hope this helps;

IIRC Someone on TBhp is already using this, though I do not recall on which motorcycle.

Clean and lube the clutch cable with wd 40 including the levers. Remove the entire thing from the handle bar. Flush the cable with generous wd 40. Don't need to put any lube etc, it will only clog the Teflon coated cable. This is regular practice, if you ride in the city a lot, every 2500 kms minimum.

Adding any contraption in the middle will only not alert you that the original cable is full of muck and it might be too late before you end up noticing the consequences.

Re: Triumph Street Triple 765 - Launched at Rs. 8.50 lakh

Hi there Street triple admirers,

Long time this S thread has gone silent; buzzing this thread.

Just sharing my ecstatic state of mind today..

How awe-struck do I feel when I blitz through 40kms in 30minutes through winding roads, sparse early morning traffic, orange sun showing up in the RVM at times and figuring out the conundrum of speeding up vs braking on blind curves that’s laced with anxiety of sudden object in my blazing path; all this 7-8k rpm each gear. No roller-coaster can set the heart beat racing like this, you might concur.

At the twist of the wrist, the otherwise mundane office commute transforms into a diminishing time window of life worth living. Through the rapid overtakes, high speed lean angles and between the flashing rev limiter warnings my jaw falls experiencing all the bike’s engineering, stability on curves & acoustics of heavenly air intake howl which when used at the right moment is one mischievous option to honking : -)

I usually resist the urge the ride my 'Zohan' too often just to keep it special and it pays, handsomely.

Aside, any friend here installed after market exhaust yet? I'm saving for Yoshimura & waiting for warranty period to get over.

Cheers!

Long time!

I have the arrow installed on my bike along with the associated map. Another friend, Dinesh (also a member here) has an amazing Scorpion exhaust on. The Yoshimura though brilliant sounding is known to cause some fueling issues. Why don't we meet this Sunday morning and you can ride and hear the Arrow in person.

Re: Triumph Street Triple 765 - Launched at Rs. 8.50 lakh

So, ‘Zohan’ got its first annual service done recently and while at it, added the bar end mirrors which now gives the bike a sleeker look and better rear-view visibility. Had a tough time finding good quality import at a price matching the Triumph’s OE RS part so went ahead with using part of store credit; costed approx. INR 14k.

Few pics below en route to work early AM today. Despite the 'routine' ahead, Zohan gets me to work way more quickly than I want.

Interested to learn how much mileage the bike has done. I have not heard of a hard clutch on the ST. Is this the S or R? I barely use 2 fingers and have non OEM levers. The R has assist clutch, maybe that helps

The bike was new then [pre owned, with 1,400 kms on clock], its the S. My other friend who has a 675 has got himself a clutch softener too. The 675 has close to 10K on the odo. It appears to be working.

Re: Triumph Street Triple 765 - Launched at Rs. 8.50 lakh

Hi guys, I have a query on buying a used Striple 675 and thought I could post it here because of a relevant audience.
(1) How much do you think is a good price for a very well maintained used Jan 2016, Striple with about 7500 kms on the odo, with an arrow exhaust and a 2nd owner?
(2) Are there any serious service / parts related concerns that could make this buy go very sour?

Some quick responses could be very helpful as the bike in question may not be available for long.

I am not comfortable with the 765 because of its taller seat height, so please advice me on this 675 alone. Thanks in advance.
