2017 Triumph Speed Triple launch in September

Triumph looks to be on a roll. First the retro segment (Street Twin, Bobber et al), then the Street Triple, and now (if Deccan Chronicle is to be believed) the Speed.

Quote:
The bike is powered by an upsized 1050cc, triple-cylinder engine which develops 140PS @ 9500rpm and a peak torque of 112Nm @ 7850rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox. It gets sharper looking headlamps, built-in DRLs, LED turn indicators, twin seats, bar-end mirrors, narrower and sharper looking fuel tank and dual matt black under seat exhaust with aluminium heat shields. The bike is constructed around a twin-spar frame. Suspension duties are handled by 43mm Showa USD forks with 120mm travel at the front and Showa monoshock unit with 130mm travel at the rear.

This looks good. It has certainly more sporty character than Street triple (IMO).
Hope price would be competitive.

Great bike. Good package, but didn't sell too well in India. Not very refined, but a hooligan under the skin.
