BMW HP4 Race : Carbon fibre-framed Ducati Superleggera competitor The HP4 did could easily have been the best superbike money could buy. But BMW could not rest on those laurels. With Ducati revealing the Superleggera 1299, they had to do something to trump the Italians. Thankfully they do have a lot of Carbon fibre left at their factory from their i3 and i8 cars.

The headline figures are very similar to the Ducati, but the dry weight at 146 Kg is known to be 10 Kgs lower than the latter. Probably on account of lack of road friendly features like headlights, mirrors and a Euro 4 compliant exhaust. MCN also unveils more details. Quote: BMW HP4 RACE highlights
