New 2019 Ninja 1000 launched. No change in the essentials except a graphic on side panels and some reflectors - http://www.kawasaki-india.com/2018/0...ched-in-india/

Re: 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 - The Comprehensive Review

A friend, whose spouse had recently returned from the US, was kind enough to pick up some quality Tekton Tools from there for me. I also got some Dielectric Grease (for electrical connections) and Anti Seize Lubricant (for wheel axles and spark plug threads) as these are hard to source here.

Adapter set to use with almost all sizes

He had bought for himself the Kawasaki Original Panniers from the US, like the ones I had sourced locqlly from the dealer and saved 20-30k in the bargain. He had also got the OE Kawsaki Inner Bags for these Panniers and also the Murph Handlebar Risers, each costing around 14,000/- bucks a set, which he KINDLY sent over to me for REPRODUCTION here at a fraction of the cost that he paid there. I hope to reproduce the same here and save around 10k per set hopefully.

Looks like IKM kept the pricing of the MY19 Ninja 1000, the same as the current one, on the market. While it's still VFM, the overall service experience and the number of access points, needs to improve.

I had gotten myself the same adapter set from Tekton, along with a torque wrench. Get yourself one too. You wouldn't regret!

Can you guys please let me know which radiator guard was this on Ali Express? There are conflicting listings of the radiator guards there, some say 2010 - 2016, with some more expensive options for 2017 and 2018

while some say 2010 - 2018

I also checked the R&G site on what it says, and they simply have 2010 - 2018.

I am going to get the 2019 model very soon.. any info is great!

And any other Ali Express links to the 12V Power Socket, any others like swingarm spools, sliders, or any other accessories are welcome too!

My suggestion
Get a branded rad guard evotech /r&g etc .
I got the power socket courtesy shree dhiraj , he gave it foc to a lot of the ninja owners at his own expense and efforts.

Also get in touch with Dkaile sir he is the guru on ninja 1000 he will have answers to all your queries .

Check the AliExpress links posted on many Kawasaki topics. Otherwise go for the Evotech ones. For 6-7k, they are of good quality. For both this and the power socket you can take my reference and contact Aurum Kawasaki, Delhi;

Re: 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 - The Comprehensive Review

Hi

You mentioned that the cat con box is the lowest and that you haven't scraped it yet... we unfortunately i have :-( . Is there something i need to get checked ? I looked under and i see just a 1 cm thick scratch which is about 2 inches long. Nothing more than a smudge but i assume it can get worse . Are there any aftermarket "shields" for it ?

You dont need to worry too much about scratching the cat con - except the pounding your heart would get everytime you hear the sound of something screeching against it.

Do keep in mind - any "shield" you put will reduce the GC even more. So instead of going for a shield - you can look for a full system exhaust which removes the catcon and increases GC. Thats what worked on my Z900.

Thank you ethanhunt123. I agree that my heart sunk when i heard the "zzzk" sound. Immediately got off and checked the catcon with multiple camera shots (will post shortly). But yes i agree the full system exhaust is the answer. Will wait for some time though before i go for it.

Re: 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 - The Comprehensive Review

What about a mid pipe that can replace the cat con keeping the stock headers and stock end cans?

Here is a shot of the scratched catcon. Got one more hit today . Starting to get worried. Maybe ordering the full system sooner !!!

Re: 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 - The Comprehensive Review

I think you can get just a mid pipe to replace the catcon, I am not sure you need the full system just to get rid of this touching. My question was regarding the same, if the catcon is a single integrated piece with the header then may be you need to cut and weld, else just a remove and replace.
