Agree on the Knowledgeable and Experienced tuner part, we don't have a dyno tuning center in India I guess. Hexxcode in Delhi is the only person I know off who remaps the ECM but not on a dyno.

Was the custom map on your bike done on a proper Dyno?

Yes it was done on a proper Dyno here in Bangalore.

Probably not done correct then, what setup you had? PC5 or PC5 + AT. I had PC3 + Quickshifter on my bandit and later got the PC5. Was using one of the preset maps from DJ, the same map behaved differently on PC3 and PC5. Power commander also has its own limitations.
Although the best feature which I enjoyed was the accelerator pump and the quickshifter.

Nothing of that sort will happen . the UI is as simple (if not simpler than) as Dynojet. I would sincerely recommend getting the Auto-tune version in whichever one you pick - Woolich or PCV since the database maps are quite generic.

Thankfully the Ninja 1000 is not as complicated to tune as the ZX10 as the latter has electronic throttle valves which are a whole new level of pain to tune. You wont take more than a day to figure your way around the Woolich UI.

Only plan to get a flasher/piggyback if you are going to De-cat sometime in the future. I would recommend getting slip-ons to begin with and invest in steel-braided lines and better pads on a priority.

Filter is in, next up is the link pipe, slip-ons will be last. Spools are ordered, Radiator guard ordered. Pads are with me, need to plonk them in once these wear out. Lines will be last. Pair Valve block off plates are also lined up.

Have been reading about the benefits of going to 190/55 and planning that at the next change of tyres as well

Lines need to be first, followed by pads after they wear out.
And if you are looking to get an ECU Editor/Woolich and a piggy back ECU, a full system is the way to go.
A slip on does nothing substantial to your air /fuel mixture to warrant a custom map/ecu editor. Its actually great for weight saving but thats about it. And of-course the increased decibel at cruising and WOT.

Yeah, no fuelling will be done if the big is running fine with slip on and filter. Fuelling only if I find it running lean.

Same with lines, as I get the feel for the bike and stopping I will add them if needed. For my current riding, this is fine.

To add more to the list of options and confusion, do check Rapidbike out. They have officially tied up with Akrapovic. The EVO module lets you play around quite a bit.

Read about it. There are mixed reviews. I was thinking of getting the same, but i am happy with the flash for now.

Not really, they replied and have given me the contact for the Indian dealer. Looks like they have something for the 17+ Ninja 1000 also. Approx 45k for the RapidBike EVO

Yep, dealer is based in Delhi. 45 is not a bad number, if that is what the dealer offers here. Do not have to buy a separate AFR module.

I am yet to see someone who has tested the RapidBike and will wait until such time. For now, for me, the Woolich seems to be the best option.

Even that looks remote if the bike is running fine without leaning out. Will be testing as I add components to it and will post here...
