Beautiful. I hope this settles the fit and finish debate for now.

Cheers...

Thanks a bunch for these lovely pictures. I was blown away by the attention to detail of the machine in the first few pictures of your post. And, as you rightly said this clearly has upped the detailing level of a Kawasaki

Is the grey color the stock Z900RS or that is also a custom model like the Doremi?

Doremi version looks like we are jumped back into the 1960's and looking like a truly retro version

P.S: Please share all other motorcycle pictures that you clicked at this show in the relevant threads...Cheers

The grey was a custom bike with all exotic bits. I am guessing that the stock colours might be limited to the classic Kawasaki combinations (green / yellow, red / orange) for launch.

I did not click any other pictures unfortunately (except my kids posing on the 2017 GSXR1000, Ninja 1000 and the MT-10). I had only about 45 minutes left before closing time and I spent 30 minutes of that around the Z900RS. I am sure some poor chap from Osaka is still mopping up my drool.

Honda and Yamaha did not have anything worth more of my attention, and the less said about Suzuki, the better.

It's called the Z9RSC and that's C for carbon fibre.

Although it's still a custom concept - I think it is squarely aimed at those who like the Thruxton R - the bike looks almost identical to the Triumph in it's Silver Frost colour scheme.

Had the chance to finally ride the Z900 last weekend and absolutely loved that engine. No doubts in my mind regarding the most desirable retro styled machine in the market today. Hope it comes to India soon enough.

re: Kawasaki Z900 RS (W800 replacement), now launched at 16.47 lakhs

Z900RS stocks have started arriving at Japanese dealers, and updated on popular motorcycle website Goobike Japan.

I just checked the (actual) on-road going rates in Japan (not Kawasaki's listed price).
2018 Z900RS - JPY 1393800 (INR 792679)
2017 Z900 - JPY 1299600 (INR 738995)
2018 Ninja 1000 - JPY 1206000 (INR 685873)

Yes, the Ninja 1000 is cheaper than the Z900 / RS in Japan. Wonder why though. For India, I am pretty sure Kawasaki will price the RS between the Z900 and Ninja 1000.

Note: All the bikes are with ABS and ETC on-board machine (for express-way toll payment).

These are the two colours that the dealers seem to have in stock.
(1) Metallic Sparkling Black

(2) Fireball (Candy Orange / Brown)

Dealers have stated delivery start date as December 1, 2017.

Surprisingly, Kawasaki is yet to update the official JDM web-page (it still shows the W800 Final Edition).

Thank you. So that clearly answers the question everyone including me were asking - the Z900RS will be more expensive than the Z900.

Gets additional equipment too.

Edit -

Kawasaki has teased their cafe racer for EICMA based on the Z900RS. Kawasaki is on a roll!

That's quite unbelievable! For a bike that has no traction control, no riding modes, no fly by wire, no IMU, less power, less torque, no fairing, no LED headlights etc etc and still be costlier!! Maybe the Japanese Government gives subsidy on 1000cc+ bikes... Lolz. Just joking but still very surprising.

Cheers...

PS - The RS is looking a cracker of a package with more variants rolling out.

The cafe looks yummilicious, especially in Kawi Green and black. Totally edible.
Hope they surprise India with pricing. A bit over Z900 works as the RS has some updated equipment. Pricing over Ninja 1K will put the bike in triumph's modern classic range, which as a brand in general has more retro appeal and fan following in India. looking forward to the RS.

I really hope Kawasaki surprises everyone with the prices.

Personally i love the tank in this rendering. Gives the bike a more retro feel. I think Kawasaki should consider offering this tank design as an option.
Your thoughts?
