Will this be more or less expensive than the standard Z900?
Should be definitely slightly more as it comes with many features yet to be seen on the Z900 like Traction Control, full LED headlights, slipper and clutch assist etc. Even at 8.5L, it should be a great deal.

The Classic is back...

Cheers...

Somehow loving the perfect (IMO) blend of retro and modern elements in the design.

I am getting this bike if only my mind can get over the Yamaha i already have. But what a beautiful bike. Perfect blend of power and looks. This is how i visualized a bullet should be as it grew over time.

And this being kawasaki, one can even forget about niggles that even the 350cc bullets carry everyday.

I want this

Wow, if I ever wanted to buy a classic big bike, this would be it! not flashy BUT it's not boring to look as well, just the size of the engine and exhaust not would get people curious.

I can already day-dream of riding this with leather jacket, boots and taking it on weekend leisure rides on ECR.

re: Kawasaki Z900 RS (W800 replacement), now launched at 16.47 lakhs

Lovely lovely bike.!!Absolutely droolworthy!!

What do we see are the chances of this bike coming to India? In the developed market itself, they serve a niche segment of the market and obviously not the mass market.

Meanwhile for someone like me who would be easily overwhelmed by the heavy weight, the performance of the 900 and the price obviously, i keep dreaming of them marrying the engine from Ninja 400 into these looks and with weight under 200 kg. But then that is me and my wishful thinking.

Not taking anything away from what the bike currently offers. If only i had capability to buy, maintain and ride it as it is currently specced.

This is now my favorite retro bike. It has everything! Classy looks, inline 4, tuned for torque, electronic aids and Kawasaki quality.

This could be a very important model in Kawasaki India's line up, going by the demand for retro styled bikes. I would definitely love to see it here. I guess it will be priced in the T120's neighborhood when (if) it is launched here.

Wow! This instantly reminds me of the legendary Honda CB750!

Classic styling with modern I4 engine. Indeed a very very rare combination!
Small things, like the way digital elements have been married to the Analogue Speedo, the spoke look alloys, are just classy!

re: Kawasaki Z900 RS (W800 replacement), now launched at 16.47 lakhs

This is really going to be a game changer in the superbike scene. If priced well in India , I believe it will be an RIP for the Bonneville and the Street Twin and probably the Harley's.

First look and it reminded me of the legendary Z1 and CB750. They have managed to retain that classic look along with the technology. I don't know about others - but I am looking forward to this being launched in India. Hope IKM gets this at a good price.

re: Kawasaki Z900 RS (W800 replacement), now launched at 16.47 lakhs

+1, v12!

A modern 900cc I4 with all electronics and safety package in a classic package is my stuff of dreams. If there ever was a case where I could choose one bike for life, it would be either the XJR1300 or the CB1100RS. But knowing the manufacturers, I'm sure these will never see the light in India. The only other options for me (if and when I decide to invest in a second bike)are to find a well maintained CB400 or settle for the Street Twin (which is a good bike in its own terms).
Kawasaki on the other hand, has to and will get this to India. If the Ninja1000 launch price is anything to go by and they take the same template to price this beauty as well then it is RIP Street Twin and Iron 883!

re: Kawasaki Z900 RS (W800 replacement), now launched at 16.47 lakhs

Kawasaki seems to be launching bikes in India with a vengeance and covering every cubic capacity that is currently prevalent from 250cc onwards and pricing them really well

Having owned a similar styled Triumph Bonneville, Z900RS is leagues ahead of it in terms of styling, equipment and ofcourse the in-line four engine which is actually a unique engine fitment into this styling body and I am sure has wonderful Kawasaki handling characteristics but, only point of worry might be the ground clearance and weight which seems to be right in Bonnie's ballpark

Bonnie when it was launched in India had the vintage pedigree to sell itself but, with launch of Street Twin they lost that one key USP so now with launch of Z900RS there is absolutely no competition for this type of a bike in India now and if priced well this motorcycle will find a lot of buyers as there are plenty of folks who are yearning for retro styled powerful motorcycle that is reliable

If priced well this can kill the Scramblers, T100's and Street Twins of the world. Well, Iron 883 will not even stand a chance

I would definitely consider this as my second bike and will never be a primary one as touring comfort is key for any future bike considerations
