2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2, H2 Carbon & H2R launched

Thanks to BHPian CrAzY dRiVeR for sharing this information with other enthusiasts!

Kawasaki has launched its latest range of hypersport bikes in India. The 2019 Ninja H2 is priced at Rs. 34.50 lakh and the H2 Carbon costs Rs. 41 lakh, while the H2R is priced at Rs. 72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings will commence from September 1, 2018 and will close on October 31, 2018 with a delivery date in 2019.

The Ninja H2 now comes with a new TFT colour instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. Using the Rideology app, riders can access vehicle information, riding logs, telephone and settings on their smartphones. It also gets an LED headlamp with LED position lamps, LED tail light and turn signals as well as an LED license plate light. Further, the bodywork is painted in Kawasaki's new Highly Durable paint with a special coat that is claimed to repair minor scratches by itself.

Powering the 2019 Ninja H2 is the same 998 cc, in-line 4-cylinder supercharged engine as before. It produces 242 BHP @ 11,500 rpm and 141.7 Nm of torque @ 11,000 rpm and is paired with a 6-speed transmission. The new model gets updated brakes featuring Brembo's Stylema monobloc calipers that grab onto twin 330 mm front discs and a single 250 mm disc brake at the rear. Also, the bike rides on new Bridgestone RS11 sport tyres.

The 2019 Ninja H2 Carbon gets similar updates, while the H2R gets Kawasaki's Highly Durable paint with a new "Supercharged" emblem and Brembo's Stylema monobloc calipers.

The H2R is powered by the same 998 cc, in-line 4-cylinder supercharged engine tuned to produce 325 BHP of peak power @ 14,000 rpm and 165 Nm of torque @ 12,500 rpm. It is also 22 kg lighter than the base H2 and H2 Carbon. Both the Ninja H2 Carbon and H2R are built in limited numbers.

Re: 2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2, H2 Carbon & H2R launched

The original H2 had a rather conservative tune of 200hp , but Ducati might have miffed them off by claiming the title of 'The world's most powerful superbike' with the Panigale V4 making 219hp. Kawasaki seems to have easily retuned the supercharged monster to 230hp (242hp with ram air) now.

With the H2SX around to take on touring duties now - guess they can be more aggressive with the H2.

H2R was anyways mental with 310hp (325hp with ram air) and its top speed of 400kmph, which it achieved in 26 seconds flat! Infact - downright scary to even see the figures!

This thing is literally out of this world. There is nothing out there on two wheels that prepares you to the experience this thing provides while achieving its terminal velocity.
Having said that, Ducati has really upped the game with the new V4 and its 214 odd bhp. And all that madness packed in a small chassis at around 175 kg dry weight.
These new breed of super bikes are the pinnacle of motoring engineering and the kind of accessible performance they provide is really unreal. We have a list of 200 BHP+ street legal production motorcycles. What a great time to be alive!!!

Just saw this drag race and was reminded of your post. H2R put against Tesla P100DL, Bombardier Challenger 605 aircraft, Lotus Evora 430 GT and two heavy hitters - the Redbull racing formula 1 car, and an F16 fighter jet.

You won't believe the result.

I saw the video sometime back. The Kawasaki edges out the Red Bull F1 car. Truly an epic video and re-in forces what I keep saying. It is a glorious time for motorcycle riders and enthusiasts to be alive in this day and age of 2 wheel technology and engineering.
