Ducati Scrambler 1100 launched at Rs. 10.91 lakh

Ducati has launched the Scrambler 1100 in India. The bike is offered in 3 variants - 1100, Special and Sport priced at Rs. 10.91 lakh, Rs. 11.12 lakh and Rs. 11.42 lakh (ex-showroom, India) respectively.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 is based on a tubular steel trellis frame. It measures 2,190 mm in length, 895 mm in width and 1,330 mm in height. The Special and Sport variants are slightly shorter (1,290 mm) and wider (920 mm). All three variants have the same wheelbase (1,514 mm). The dry weight of the bikes is 189 kg, except for the Special variant, which weighs 194 kg.

All three variants of the Scrambler 1100 get an LED headlamp in the front, circular LCD instrument cluster, an LED tail lamp and a dual-tone fuel tank. The Scrambler 1100 and Special get Marzocchi 45 mm upside-down front forks and a Kayaba monoshock at the rear. The Sport variant gets Ohlins 48 mm upside down forks at the front and an Ohlins monoshock at the rear. All three bikes ride on 18-inch wheels at the front and 17-inch wheels at the rear. While the Scrambler 1100 and Sport variants come with 10-spoke alloy wheels, the Special variant gets spoked aluminium wheels. All three variants get underseat-mounted twin exhausts.

The bikes are powered by a 1,079 cc, twin-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 84 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 88 Nm of torque @ 4,750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Braking duties are handled by twin 320 mm discs at the front with 4-piston Brembo calipers and a single 245 mm disc in the rear with a 1-piston caliper setup. Bosch Cornering ABS is part of the standard equipment.

Other features include riding modes, power modes, traction control and under-seat storage with USB.

Scrambler must be holding the Indian record for maximum number of variants offered on a premium motorcycle in India.

So we are not getting the twin stacked pipes as shown in the very first pic even on the sport variant? And i hope there is enough heat insulation to avoid burning the saddle bags / pillion given how the exhausts are placed.

Any one has some feedback about this - maybe someone on our forum owns the triumph scrambler?

Another heat issue could be rear turn indicators given close proximity to exhausts.

The sport version has the twin stacked pipes - other 2 have the under seat exhaust. I dont think exhausts would affect pillion a lot - saddle bags need to be away from exhausts for sure - but thats the case with all high swept exhausts.
