The Ducati Panigale V4 R, now launched at Rs 51.87 lakhs

Ducati has unveiled its entire range of MY2019 motorcycles at an international conference ahead of EICMA 2018. Among three new motorcycles announced at the event is the Panigale V4R, the flagship Panigale in the Ducati range.

The Desmosedici Stradale R engine is claimed to hit the rev counter at 16,000 rpm (16,500 rpm in sixth gear) to ensure a greater sprint. Impressive figures for a 998 cu. cm engine, that become even more amazing by fitting the full-racing exhaust Ducati Performance by Akrapovic, brings the maximum power to 234 hp@ 15,500 rpm.

The aerodynamic package of the new Panigale V4 R includes: protective windscreen, headlight fairing and side fairings to reduce aerodynamic resistance, air extractors to reduce operating temperatures in heavy-duty racing use, and the GP16-derived carbon fibre aerodynamic appendices that claims to increase stability in all riding phases.

The Panigale V4 R is exclusively equipped with the new pressurised 43mm Öhlins fork, and Öhlins TTX36 on the rear, both with mechanical adjustment. Even the Öhlins steering damper leaves the electronic adjustment in favour of the mechanical one.

The new Panigale V4 R is equipped with the latest generation electronic package, that manages all riding phases, based on the Bosch 6D IMU. A Pit Limiter makes its debut on the bike, limiting its speed when riding in the pit lane. The bike also features Riding Modes, Power Modes, Bosch Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Slide Control (DSC), Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO and Auto tyre calibration as safety aids.

The most amazing thing is that it manages this kind of power while being lower in displacement (999cc) than the standard V4/S which (1103cc). 16000+ RPM in a litre class? Gotta ride one before I die.

And I'm still wishing I get to ride a 600 screamer before I die! 16k rpm in a litre class? Pretty sure my heart won't survive that!

Good that it has Carbon Fibre winglets. Coz it will take off with the power/weight ratio it has. I hope VST Ducati gets one for test ride

Sems like there is no other manufacturer that can make "Red" look so good on a motorcycle. Ducati with their line up at EICMA have some stunning pieces of engineering.

Major want happening for that V4r. Wonder will it be stupid expensive?

Re: The Ducati Panigale V4 R, now launched at Rs 51.87 lakhs

I had asked on another thread if anyone would buy a 50-60 lakh motorcycle? Here's the answer:

Quote:
Italian luxury brand Ducati India has confirmed two bookings of its flagship motorcycle, Ducati Panigale V4 R. Five units of the Panigale V4 R were allotted to India, of which two units have been booked by Ducati India’s dealer North Star Automotive in Delhi-NCR. Embodied with the maximum expression of Ducati values, racing-inspired livery, and Ducati’s racing DNA, the new Panigale V4 R is a symphony of emotions and the most powerful road legal production bike ever.

Sergi Canovas, Managing Director of Ducati India said, “The Panigale V4 R is a depiction of the finest Ducati precision and racing pedigree that delivers performance akin to a MotoGP bike. Bringing that experience in India marks a special chapter for Ducati. We are very excited and proud to have the Panigale V4 R on the Indian racetracks very soon. There is nothing quite like the Panigale V4 R and we are confident that it will disrupt the racing and riding experience for the superbike enthusiasts in the country. We are also looking forward to the Ducati V4 R making a strong statement at the upcoming superbike championships in India.”
