Re: Indian FTR 1200 S launched at Rs. 14.99 lakh

What an exciting machine from Indian. A homage to those flat track races they competed in back in the 50's.
I feel it looks stunning and a very designer cum sporty alternative to the whole street naked category. The engine sounds like fun with 120 ponies and a nice torque curve. Has a lot of special bits and pieces here and there. I ve read that the tires on these are also purpose built by Dunlop.
Definitely a special motorcycle this from India but unfortunately I dont see this selling in a country obsessed with either the liter class category or those ugly metal monstrosities.

Re: Indian FTR 1200 S launched at Rs. 14.99 lakh

Its a brand that has limited visibility India though it is named Indian.

I have only seen one Indian in Pune so far and that's a cruiser. It will be a hardsell to get this beauty moving from the showrooms. And unfortunately I don't think Indian is going to invest in marketing when they have only one offering in the naked space. Else to me, this is a good alternative to the aging Monster lineup from Ducati that is now relying more on nostalgia than any real tangible improvement of the motorcycle. Though I don't like that this Indian is a twin (similar to Monster) when the world has moved on to triple or quad cylinders.
