Engine wise this could be a cracker. But that front assembly is just plain super ugly!! Just horrible. I just can't get over it.

So the 2020 bike has a different OEM exhaust which is responsible for the extra 2 Nm torque on the new bike. It also has some new skins for the LCD display.

Supposedly the Torque curve has also been shifted for more mid range grunt. It looks like Triumph will eliminate the Striple R from its international line up and have just the S and RS going forward in the future. In India, we can expect a price hike of around INR 100,000 for this new variant.

If one is ready for a purchase, it may make sense to pick up from existing stock at discount.

Re: Triumph Street Triple RS launched at Rs. 10.55 lakh

The torque peaks at 10800 rpm for the 2017 RS. For the new one, it peaks at 9300 rpm. So more usable power with the new one. As some one said, the new one is a combination of the old RS (having peak power) and the Street Triple R (having more power between 6000 and 9000 rpm). Close to perfection.

Makes an already expensive bike even more ridiculously priced. Best of luck for triumph to try and sell this at 12L ex-showroom

Makes me wonder how the Daytona can be priced when it finally hits our market? Daytona should be even more expensive than the STriple RS.

Kawasaki has killed the supersport market with 10R's insane pricing. Only exotic bikes can sell and that too in small numbers

Re: Triumph Street Triple RS launched at Rs. 10.55 lakh

Reviews from Indian journos are out.

While the 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS is more accomplished, better equipped and more fun, it won’t tempt existing owners terribly. Riders looking to upgrade from smaller motorcycles will find the RS even more appealing, especially since Triumph has indicated that the prices will remain more or less the same. So the Street Triple RS has kitted up to take on the competition and if, like us, you can’t wait to get your hands on it in India, January 2020 couldn’t come soon enough!

The 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS cements itself as a fantastic all-round machine for those who simply expect their motorcycle to do it all. From tackling traffic-infested streets to cutting loose on a racetrack, the RS can handle everything you throw at it without compromising on comfort, build quality or equipment. Triumph India will launch the bike in January 2020 and is aiming to stick with the current prices. For its versatility and list of top-drawer equipment, the new RS is certainly better than ever – and not to forget, it looks nicer too!

The Street Triple RS has been one of the few middleweight nakeds that straddled road and track duties with equal aplomb and the updated version only feels better. The more usable engine performance, lighter feel and grippier tyres all come together to make it even more engaging, be it on the road or on track. In fact, it feels even more potent on track, allowing you to explore your and its own limits further. The bike is slated to come to India in January 2020, which is just a couple of months away and makes even great sense as an everyday motorcycle that's also track worthy. More importantly, I expect Triumph to not hike its prices, which should help it offer better bang for your buck. That said, the recently launched KTM 790 Duke has come across as a seriously impressive middleweight naked, and I'm really curious to see how the new Street Triple RS will feel against it!

Re: Triumph Street Triple 765 - Launched at Rs. 8.50 lakh

So the 2020 Street Triple RS has been launched:

https://www.autocarindia.com/bike-re...st-ride-414502

It's a BS VI engine. The peak power, at 121hp is exactly the same as before but peak torque has gone up to 79Nm from the previous 77Nm, albeit at slightly lower RPMs. Triumph has also managed to enhance power and torque in the mid-range by 9 percent.

Good to hear from the Indian reviewers that the price is expected to remain the same as earlier.

That's fantastic news if true. Word on the grapevine was an increase due to the BSVI compliance. Hope they don't increase the pricing. It's pretty damn expensive as it is.
