Congratulations Krishna! Truly an achievement. People generally boast after hardly doing 15-20K on a supersport. Here you are, going on strong at 50K on a liter class old school supersport.

Further, full marks to you for maintaining the thread with so much passion.
IMO, this R1 is lucky to find you as the 2nd owner

Enjoy in good health buddy. Ride Safe.

Thanks, Abhi for the kind words!
I'm hoping to keep the bike ticking in top shape and updating it here too.

Cheers
Krishna

If you are wondering why Xaos636's 10R looks different that's because he did some subtle but big-effect changes to the looks of the bike, looks killer IMO!
Superb Krishna - epic journey!

I just cannot believe anyone who gives so much love, takes so much trouble over his bike and even more by sharing/documenting every little detail can ever claim to be lazy. Dedication, passion and commitment for your bike is what I see reflected just by this thread without even knowing or meeting you. Keep it up!

Since Xaos636 won’t share what he’s done to the 10R please share what he’s done.

Happy, safe riding and on to the 100k mark

Cheers

As always, Thanks for the kindest of words Cyborg. It really warms my heart that the thread is able to provide some interest to others as well. Hopefully, we get to meet sometime in the future.

Haha...Yes, Xaos636 has taken the super lazy route and not bothering with creating a thread for the 10R.

Well, basically what he did was convert all the non-green (Gloss black/yellow/white mix) panels to the OEM green that's on the rest of the bike. That basically included the tank side panels, rear tailpieces, and the bottom 2 belly panels. , the stickers on the side fairings were removed as they were already green beneath the stickers.

As for a proper before and after photo here is how to compare.

Before

After
Review: My Yamaha R1 (WGP 50th Anniversary Edition)-9d98462a816f4f46bafec08fe0ac4497.jpeg

And a special mention to @SunnyBoi who is responsible for the execution of the spot-on color match, prep work, and painting process.
