That looks beautiful. Also, which chain are you using? Is it OEM or an aftermarket one?

More than a decade ago I was waiting at a signal somewhere in the Saudi Arabian desert. It was a cool day in January when it was actually possible for bike lovers to ride without being bothered by the extreme heat.I heard a roar and something crossed me at unbelievable speeds. This way my first meeting with the legendary Hayabusa. There may be faster bikes now,but Hayabusa still remains my favourite.

My friend has one in red colour.Since I never owned anything above 160 cc I never tried taming the falcon. You are lucky to own such a unique marvel of engineering.

Re: My Suzuki Hayabusa aka Bluebird S12

Fuss free annual service

While the last year was spent mostly behind troubleshooting and all the bikes that were getting rebuilt or even routine work the Busa was performing flawlessly even though it saw very little saddle time. This is one bike one can confidently approach even after three weeks of no usage and it will just crank up instantly.

For the annual service I was trying to order the OE oil filter from my regular Suzuki dealership but for some reason or the other I just couldn’t get one and in the end we just used the current filter as the bike had done barely 300 kms from the last service. With limited usage for the past few years the battery was also due for change and started showing its age the moment I reached Tony’s place and was changed as well. Apart from that my main concern was on the Sprint air filter that I had changed too last year and wanted to confirm if it was letting through dirt and not filtering our clean air yo desired levels. When we opened up the air box we were greeted to a familiar clean interior as it has always been and that was a big relief. Post that the oil was changed and the brake and hydraulic clutch fluids were flushed and changed as well.

Yesterday, I rode the 848 and Busa back to back and was trying to identify which bike feels more special and while the power delivery and engine characteristics are totally poles apart its the thunderous exhaust note of the Two Brothers end cans especially when you cut the throttle at high rpms in second and third gear is what I enjoyed the most.

With a few weeks remaining for the onset of monsoon season and before the bikes go into hibernation have to try and make time to ride the Busa as well as much as possible which is a Herculean task as I have two bikes which are in their running in period.. Maintaining and riding seven bikes is definitely not at all an easy task

Absolutely love that feeling of getting them serviced. Sure they burn a big hole, so what. Here are my babies getting serviced before they are out having fun again

The Ninja got a new chain sprocket kit this time, which was around AUD 480 including labour, while the general service put me back by AUD 320.
The R1 was just basic service which costed me AUD 395 including new oil, oil filter and other checks, and brake fluids flush.

Any specific reason that is so? Earlier too you had mentioned the bikes going in for hibernation. You could keep one bike for the rain, right? (or more )

Re: My Suzuki Hayabusa aka Bluebird S12

Hi guys,

I have been facing an issue on my 2017 Hayabusa. I have not been able to ride it for a long time due to work commitments and the recent geo- political tensions. When I started the bike yesterday, it sounded different, almost like a twin cylinder. The bike is appreciably down on power, and the low end torque is gone too. It also lugs any time the rpm drops below 2000. All the while sounding like a twin cylinder. The check engine light is off and there are no other warnings on the dash. Can the bike actually be firing only on 2 cylinders? What can be the reason?

The bike was serviced 10 months ago and has ridden about 3000 kms post that. I live near Jalandhar and the nearest service centre is in Delhi, is there any way I can diagnose it at home? I know I'll have to take it to Delhi for the rectification. Can anyone tell me about a reliable bike transporter who won't rip me off.

Please help...

If you are lucky its busted spark plug/s. You can easily get them checked at home. Do not replace with anything other than factory spec plugs.
