@ rtech. I sold my Yellow 2003 CBR 600RR with MH-06 reg for 5.15L. papers could have been cleaner as it came out of a customs warehouse. So if you want to pay more than 3 for a 97 CBR 600, then you have loads of cash and do not know what to do with it.

I don't want to pay more Sunil. That's why I'm asking you, please get me a good bike for 3! I'm serious!

Not fair S600, you never offer such deals to me.
All you offered me was a 99 gixxer 600 for 4.5, this is a 97 HONDA cbr 600, so why should it be a good 1.5 L cheaper, infact hondas supposedly have better resale et all, dont they?

These things only get to heard only after they are sold.
There are bikes ..we have to search like a needle in hay stack , if u are lucky u get many needles
two years back you would find a nice f3 at probably 4L if not more.
And if you say searching/ looking around/ being patient is the key to clinch a deal like that, i ve done a little more than that.
Like RT said, people usualy hear of their friend's brother's girl's sister's some friend buying/selling at a price you mentioned, i have to yet come across one person who got a deal like that.

Should give you anywhere between 12-15 in city, provided you are not burning most of the fuel just to listen to the roar of the bike on standstill. Again, am not sure of the figures, maybe people who have actually owned one could depict the real picture.

In city use, I average around 11-12kmpl. This is in heavy traffic and/or constant 6,000 revv's + use (as a 400 doesn't make much power below that!). On long highway rides I get 16-18, and I've managed to get a 21 kmpl on one trip I did to amby valley and back.

600/1000's should/might give a bit better economy as they don't need to be revved the way a 400 does.

Yes, probably less than your car, but then can your car match its performance

That's very good average for a 600 dude. Just gives me another reason to buy it

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that my car will be inhaling exhaust fumes of your bike

I had visited the DreamBikes workshop in Pune on Sat, he had a Mumbai registered Honda 400 for sale for 3.50. I was expecting it to be in good condition, but the bike was carelessly cared for. The front shocks were leaking oil, the bike was mis-firing BIGTIME, & it was kind of falling apart. I did not bother taking a test ride. Actually DreamBikes deals only with new bike sales on priority, second hand sale is not their perogative. But I was rolling when he quoted 3.50 for that piece of junk. BTW, Harjeet has acquired a lot of goodies recently. RACING GEAR, he's setting up showroom for it. Team BHP bikers might want to check it out when you in Pune.

now compare that 400 at 3.5L to the cbr 600 you have around for 3.4 L. And, if i may add, most of the cbr 400 rr s around are 92-93 motorcycles if not older, so don't fall for the 97-98 bull.

Not at all dude, am not falling for the 97-98 bull, cause the bike is in excellent condition. & I have already set my mind on it. I have no reason to worry since my friend has cared for the bike like no one that "I" know of. Hopefully I will have the cash ready this Sat & post the pics ASAP.

manish, that 97 story i was talking about is related to the cbr 400 s, not that people dont pass off other bikes as newer one, but the cbr 400 is a favourite. And, i recall a bombay dealer telling me (in my initial days) that there is not a single 97 or newer 400 rr around.
All the best with your purchase
