The headlight should be angeled for use in countries where we drive on the left side of the road.

New here. Just wondering what was the reason for the Indian Government to disallow the importation of 600 cc bike?

Bro , its because the govt. was specifically looking at Harley and they are planning to get 800cc+ bikes .All sarkari decisions, nothing to do with us SBK lovers :(

Aside from Harley there were other cruiser and power bikes having displacement of 800cc+. Yamahas MT01, V-max and the suzuki M109 to mention a few can compete with the Harleys. What makes Harley popular is because they're the first company to build the choppers (sorry for the OT). Even if the government would allow the importation of Higher displacement bike, the tax is really horrible, a 100% or more increase on the landing cost, Whew that's too much. The government should put a clear system or regulation on the importation to avoid illegal entry of cruiser and sports bikes. The more it's being prohibited the more the people will find way to bring them in here, legal or not.

Yes they cant be sold legally, but they are usually sold without transferring documents to the name of the new owner.

Let’s hope this is the start of some thing good.

Dear Friend, in both cases the duty is the same!! unless some people juggle with the age and pay a lower duty.
TR is also official, just that needs to be retiane dfor 2 years. but since its going to be allowed, why not import direct under OGL rule.
if its just 10 lacs, all included on road, maybe i want to own one!!
