Re: 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa launched at Rs. 16.40 lakh

Ok so now there is a first "female" Hayabusa owner category also. I thought we have moved away from gender discrimination.

Its really sad to see good bikes being bought just to get YT likes and online glory. I hope these machines are put to good use. On a better note, a lot of Gen 2 Busas got more affordable to us passionate bikers.

Will wait to see who posts " My first crash on the 2021 Busa". Then I hope the madness ends.

True, and plus the whole commotion must have robbed the pleasure of owning your first big bike/busa for any who were taking delivery on the same day.

Also, the showroom guys had put on display customer bikes, which all vloggers and influencers sat on clicked pictures shot videos. Clearly something that is not appreciated and I would prefer the bike to be kept in the crate and delivered home instead.

I just hope someone doesn’t crash his busa to claim to be the first one to crash a Gen 3 in India/globally as there are some guys on YT who abuse and drop their bikes just to get views.

I was equally surprised to see that there! There are a barrage of weird clickbait videos coming up I am sure with what all firsts and not!

Agreed on the price bit. A close friend checked out a very very clean low mileage Busa yesterday (2016 model) and the asking price is already down by a couple of lacs from what I had seen till about a month back on Instagram. Since I do not have a Facebook account, I assume the prices are similar there.

I am hoping when the time comes to replace my RS with the Busa, I can find a good deal!

Ehhhh, sorry what !!!!! Who are these sickos? Sorry we are getting off topic, but for someone to purposefully drop a bike to get views, this is a new sort of depravity.

Re: 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa launched at Rs. 16.40 lakh

Wow, simply wow!!!. What did I just watch - riding a Busa on hawaii chappal and doing tug of war. Simply speechless. Sachin, you opened a whole new portal for me to spend my Friday evening.

I have met some of them in group rides. Usually this is how they ride.

1. Before the ride, a lot of chest pumping about how the Busa is the best, can hit 300 kmph. Has been riding for 5 years and is on first names basis with Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner.

2. Turn on bike, revv till the whole of Delhi knows.

3. Ride 5 minutes

4. Fall off bike while navigating a turn at 10 kmh

The dialogue with me is the following

Me: Kya hua
Busa stud: Paaji gir gaya
Me: Kyu
Busa: Itna power, control nehi hua. (This is from a guy who is a self proclaimed racer)
Me: Ok chalo, tata bye bye

No wonder service techs love these type of bikers. Their moniker is "buy on Sunday, drop bike on Monday". Dealers survive on the profits from just servicing these bikes.

This is why I do not do group rides. I always do solo, or I do it with someone I trust and I am comfortable with. Else it is a disaster.

The third generation Hayabusa was launched in India in April this year and the first batch of 101 bikes was sold out in just 2 days. The second batch is expected to arrive in the month of July or August.

The Hayabusa is powered by a 1,340cc, 4-stroke, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, DOHC, in-line 4-cylinder engine that delivers 187 BHP @ 9,700 rpm and 150 Nm @ 7,000 rpm.

The new-gen Hayabusa is the first full model change in 13 years, yet it looks similar to the previous model. It comes equipped with Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS), Power Mode Selector, Motion Track Traction Control, Anti-lift Control, Engine Brake Control and Active Speed Limiter.

It seems half a dozen 2021 Hayabusas were delivered in NCR on the first day itself.

Saw one in flesh the other day. I've never been fond of the design language of the Hayabusa but I must say it looks better in flesh than in pictures.

I see you were close to NSOne . Can recognize the coffee shop Barista. I mentally note the BoConcept store as a landmark.

I stopped riding with riding clubs etc precisely because I dont want to rub-shoulders with such junta.
Waiting eagerly for the next FIRST video on Busa in India. It looks beautiful in those Black and Silver shades to me personally.

@Narula123

The ongoing hoopla and abuse of the new Gen Busas continues. People are still posting pics / insta stories of how they are revving the bikes during delivery, riding it without the windshield attached and a whole load of abuse.

It has been just shy of 2 weeks since the release. I am sure in a few weeks we will a Gen 3 Busa crash for likes and hearts.

Re: 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa launched at Rs. 16.40 lakh

Those YouTube influencer videos were truly cringeworthy.

Somehow I have a sub-conscious bias when I see a Hayabusa rider. My default assumption (unless I see otherwise) is that the guy isn’t really a motorcyclist but more likely a poseur.
