Absolutely drool worthy. Nothing beats the Diavel in the power cruiser segment. The sound, the looks and the technology on board makes it a complete hooligan for the people ready to take on this beast.

I'm sorry to say this but Ducati pricing has been absolutely absurd off late. Adding to this that they enjoy the benefits of the Thailand FTA, they are just trying to go overboard with their brand value and will likely go down the drain like others that have tried.

Premium but good value: When will they understand? Don't even get me started on Aprilia pricing.

Re: 2021 Ducati XDiavel launched in India at Rs 18 Lakh

There is a massive shift in the way Ducati is pricing and marketing the bikes. Pricing is absurd, astronomical and ludicrous. But its working. There is a segment of Indian customers who do not mind the price hikes, the steep charges, and are ok to pay premium. Ducati found their sweet spot. Based on my conversations with Delhi dealer on why Ducati is doing ok - the primary reasons are

1. The used market for Ducatis in India is horrendous. Most bikes are in poor condition, not looked after and a big chunk of them are being sold at the 20k km mark because no one wants to pay for the first desmo service.

2. Used dealers who have inventory of the good / well maintained Ducatis are holding on to them and won't sell for lower prices. I have seen a 959 on sale for almost 2 years for 10.5 lacs. The price hasn't budged.

3. With the used market a disaster story, customers looking for the premium experience have no choice but to buy new bikes.

I don't think the situation will change anytime soon. Ducati will play this to their advantage and milk us as long as the game goes on.

Congrats to Him, but such a weird angle of the photo, looks like the fuel tank has a huge dent. I had my heart in my mouth for a second!!
