Benelli TRK 800 teased, to debut at EICMA 2021

Benelli has teased the TRK 800. The new adventure tourer will make its global debut at the ECIMA 2021 that will take place on November 25-28.

As per the teaser video, the Benelli TRK 800 will feature a semi-fairing with a sharp design, adjustable windscreen, split seats, and wire-spoke wheels. The adventure tourer will also have a rear rack, side-mounted upswept exhaust and 'TRK' lettering on the side of the fuel tank.

The Benelli TRK 800 is expected to have a bolt-on subframe, USD front forks, rear mono-shock and dual front disc brakes. It could also feature a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, full-LED lighting, traction control, ride modes and ABS.

Reports suggest that the TRK 800 could use the 745cc, parallel-twin engine from the Leoncino 800 that makes around 80 BHP and 67 Nm.

In India, Benelli has the TRK 502 and TRK 502 X adventure tourer models on sale.

Having owned a Benelli before, I know that their quality is not up to the mark of the biggies.
But at the same time, neither are their prices as high.

However their service costs were quite high in the initial days, and the service interval quite short, 4000 kms or 4 months. With each service costing around 5k with oil change(company recommended). Also the spare parts were expensive and not very easily available.

I have heard that the service and spare costs have come down with time.

What I loved about Benelli was the sound and smoothness of the engine.
It was not for power, and the bikes were not exactly feather weight. However, I found these things to my liking. As the heavier bike was very sturdy on the highway and the lower power and torque made the bike feel quite in control for a noob like me.

If priced right and after looking at the service and spares costs, one can actually consider this bike as a tourer.

Here is some footage of the new TRK 800. Tiger 900 inspired or not, the bike does look like it has quite some presence. That Leoncino 800 Trail at the beginning of the video is just delicious !

At 226kg is it really 10ks lighter than the trk500? How'd they manage that..or is it a typo?

Kerb weight is wet weight or am I mistaken?
