Yep, I was asked to join also. I had other plans so could not make it. Was it a private event? I was told that Ducati India wanted to promote the bike on the track.

Owned by a close friend. He was super super happy with this on the track. He showed some videos this Sunday and it looked right at home on the track. Will be at the ISBK track day next week as well and is in the process of being converted into a track only bike by next weekend. He already has a track only V4 but that is probably going to be sold and this will be a dedicated track bike.

P.S. In case i am going to the track next weekend to meet him, will drop you a message and lets go.

No idea about the event but I like where this is going. There is an open trackday being organised by ISBK Racing on 19th and 20th February 2022.

Wow track only V4 SP sounds great. Hope to see one soon as I'm keen to see how the SP looks in flesh. I have a feeling that photographs do not do justice to the beauty of the winter livery and that brushed aluminium. It must be a stunner from up close !

I would love to join if I'm around, presently it is a 50/50 chance that I might be in NCR or Pune that weekend. Also, I am yet to see your S1000RR.

Installed the Evotech upper radiator guard today. Had to take off the fairings to install it. The lower guard is Ducati performance that the dealer installed during the purchase. Noticed several differences between the SP and a regular S model. Will sit down later and jot the differences, but it was an evening well spent looking at the inner workings of the SP.

The one thing that really ticks me off is the dust in Delhi. I rode for only 50 km and everything is covered with a fine layer of dust. I spend weekends just cleaning bikes.

Took both the V4SP and the V2 Bayliss for a run this past Saturday for the Ducati World Week ride organized by Ducati Delhi.

My brother was in town so he rode the Bayliss while I rode the SP. Well, the Delhi heat was not out in full force so it was still pleasant.

The ride was quite fun, with more than 70 Ducs going down the Delhi Gurgaon highway and then on to the Gurgaon Faridabad road. Unfortunately, 70+ bikes means lots of stops, coordination, picture taking and general time pass. The ride ended at Aerocity, and after the corporate stuff was over, the 2 of us headed back home.

Riding in 40+ degrees on a V4 is sheer torture. The engine sub frame heats up a lot and roasts your inner thighs. Heat from the engine is channeled through the fairing vents and burns your ankles. Luckily traffic was moving so things were still under control.

In sheer contrast, it was very pleasant to ride the V2. The bike is brand new but the engine temperature hovered around 104 degrees but it did not emit much heat. My brother was keeping pace with me on the V4 and even managed to outrun me on several turns. He loves the V2 and feels its a better bike for city riding.

Unfortunately, the pricing of the V2 is a bit high compared to the rest of the product offerings. I wish Ducati lowers the pricing, but we can only dream.

A few pictures attached of the ride

Damn i am late to this party. But what a lovely motorcycle no_fear. Completely agree with you on the wheels. These are so much nicer than the carbon wheels!!

I hope you enjoy this motorcycle to the fullest!!! Wishing you lots of miles

While Arya and i have been unsuccessful in our ride planning, his elder brother and i had immediate success in planning one and did a short spin together Sunday night. While we had spoken a lot over the phone, sitting together along with Rachit and discussing bikes for 2 hours was just pure bliss.
The SP looks sooo good in flesh that the pics cant do justice. Its sinister. So is the heat coming from it- which i could feel on my BMW standing next to it at stop signals. While the BMW is a fast bike, the Ducati V4 is just on another level and the way she pulls has to be seen to be believed. This one is indeed very very Special.

Sorry for the horrible pics, this is all i could click while picking up my jaw.

The Panigale V4 SP looks phenomenal, I am yet to see one in flesh though. But even in pictures, it looks like a million bucks.

I was in a traffic light on Sunday evening and suddenly Rachit bhai rolled up in his R1. We had a brief chat and he mentioned he was on his way to meet you guys. Looks like a fun evening, motorcycle discussions and biker friends - perfect way to start a week or end a weekend, whichever way you look at it.

@M - you did not show up for the Ducati ride last Saturday? I was hoping you would be there.

I did miss the ride with Rohan - had an appointment with incoming home ministry. My brother is a doofus, I had told him that new home minister and relevant officials are coming to my place so he should stay back. He told me "not my home ministry, ergo not my problem" and bounced off at 9 30 pm to meet Rohan

I have to meet Rachit and see his R1. My brother was all excited seeing a 2010 R1 with Akra pipes. That is a beauty to behold.

I will take the initiative and set up an evening ride super soon so we can have a nice short ride and discuss motorcycles over coffee.

I highly doubt there will be any available for booking for India. These are limited edition bikes, with a pre-set production number and cannot be obtained if just booked now.

On top the pricing for this one is really absurd. 35 lacs for a naked, when the S costs 22

I debated on this a lot with my brother, and both agreed the V4 SP is good enough...

i am a newbie to the terms "incoming home ministry" - what does it means? excuse the ignorance

Really nice bike collection there, and the V4 too! Is Aprilia in your sights? I think the Aprilia RSV4 or Tuono is a great motorcycle that you can add to your collection to complete the Trinity of Italian motorcycling. that V4 power
