| ![]() Triumph India has released a teaser of its upcoming Tiger 1200 adventure tourer. It will take on the likes of the Ducati Multistrada V4 and the BMW R 1250 GS. ![]() In the international market, the Tiger 1200 is available in two variants - Rally and GT. While the former is kitted out for off-road use, the GT is suited for long-distance cruising. For the 2022 model year, Triumph has dropped the twin headlamp set up for a single LED headlight with an integrated LED daytime running light. The bike has a prominent beak and a large windscreen. Powering the Tiger 1200 is a 1,160cc, inline-3 cylinder engine that develops 147 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 130 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. Like the BMW, the Tiger 1200 also comes with a shaft drive. While the former is kitted out for off-road use, featuring spoked wheels and longer travel suspension, the GT is suited for long-distance cruising. The new Tiger 1200 comes with a single LED headlight with an integrated LED daytime running light. The bike has a prominent beak and an adjustable windscreen. The new bike weighs more than 25 kg less than its predecessor. Powering the Tiger 1200 is a 1,160cc, inline 3-cylinder engine that develops 147 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 130 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. The bike comes with a shaft drive. The Tiger 1200 competes with the Ducati Multistrada V4 and the BMW R 1250 GS. |

The GT range offers a road-biased set-up while the Rally range offers better off-road capability. • Tiger 1200 GT Pro - ₹ 19,19,000 • Tiger 1200 GT Explorer - ₹ 20,69,000 • Tiger 1200 Rally Pro - ₹ 20,19,000 • Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer - ₹ 21,69,000 - 1,160 cc inline three-cyl engine - 147 bhp @ 9,000 rpm & 130 Nm of peak torque @ 7,000 rpm - 6-speed gearbox - Assist and slipper clutch - 49 mm Showa USD front forks - Showa semi-active monoshock - Brembo Stylema brakes - All trims get the semi-active suspension as standard - GT Pro and Rally Pro feature 20-litre fuel tanks, while the Rally Explorer and GT Explorer trims get larger 30-litre fuel tanks. - GT range rides on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear alloy wheels.
