Hey manson , dont tease , post more pics or open a new thread ,26 bikes would be a real treat for eyes and ears .

BTW whats the last bike at extreme right hand corner ,looks like dual sport.
More pics ...

And one good thing I noticed is that even single pots are also in the line , not many big bike riders prefer to ride with or pose with .

just saw the MT-01...heard rather on the telly (ndtv car n bike show).

wow!!! sounds like a V8 muscle car! will certainly turn heads when you come riding in from a distance.

waiting to hear one live. thats only possible when these yamaha dealer stupidos decide to get a few real ones instead of doling out pictures.

The launch of SBKs is going to make imported bikes prices more realistic IMO. If Yamaha launches a R6 at around 6Lacs then we wont be seeing 11 year old 400s being sold for 4 Lacs IMO.

Where did you get those figures from mate??
Considering that Yamaha India has launched the R1 at 10.5L ex-showroom, how are they really going to be offering the r6 for 6L? Unless ofcourse you plainly took the 10:6, and 1000:600 ratio a bit too seriously
And, the best of those 11 year old 400s get sold at 3L (2.5-2.75 is more like it) if not lower.
On a very recent check, a clean 99 spec 600 with complete papers was going at a shade above 4L

Well Manson, let the 600s come even if Yamaha prices it around 8 Lakhs, it still seems unreliastic to buy a 11 year old bike for around 4Lacs, that means it just depriciated 50% in 10 years, looking at a assumed price of 8 lakhs for a 600.

those "stupidos" as you like to call them had the mt01 on display at the vaahan yatra and from tmro it will be at orion motors (opp. forum mall). 3 lakhs booking amount and they already have 6 bookings from the expo.

also its these "stupidos" that are the first ones in india to offer clean and legal superbikes to the indian market.

The 600s cost about 7.5L in grey, and the liter class costs about 9.5L.
After all the cbu/ckd and whatnot drama Yamaha India has launched the r1, which is going to cost about 12.5 once on-road.
Going by simple cross multiplication, a 600 whenever launched would be 9.8L!!

BTW Yam Banglore are already marketing their R1 and MT-01: I got a call this morning from a not-so-knowledgeable sounding chap at the Rajajinagar dealership... the on-road price is Rs 11,90,267 fr the R1! Mind-boggling, but as someone in the thread said there are lots of people with high disposable incomes today. Yup, 200 sales target should work.

Will pre-owned SBKs resale value be hit??? I don't think so. While there will certainly be a bunch for whom 12 lakhs is not much of a stretch, I'm confident many will still find the lower-priced-yet-older machines decent value for money (my 99 Blade for instance at 4.8 lakhs is a steal). If one can afford one, a new R1 works, but many know that the value on one of those beauts will easily fall a couple of lakhs in the first year alone. The reason? A huge gap in the number of potential buyers in the pre-owned slot vs the rarefied count of newbike wallets. (It's like the Mercedes vs Maruti equation.)

Exactly my point. Lack of company sold SBKs has made imported bikes rates really high.

Do cars brought to INDIA as CBU also have >100% duty ?
A 1000rr or R1 costs like less than 4lakhs ( 9000 $) over there and here we pay 12.5 lakhs .
