Its an ad which just flys by, very few would actually catch it and think why would these ads be running.

I hope the bikes do well, cause that will create good vibe in the market for boys at Kawa and Suzuki to also jump into the 500+cc range of bikes.

What I really would like is the Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R - 636cc which won the MasterBike award.

Best part is 600s are almost as fast as the litre bikes in the 1/4 drag.

What they lack is top end speeds of 280+km which we in India could really not use anyway.

An Agile Kawa ZX6R or Honda CBR600RR, R6, GSX600, is all I what ............ manufacturers ?? Listening???

Just you try riding something that produces peak power at 12000 rpm in BLR traffic.

I really hope this news is true. Other mfg's may then follow suit and have a whopping big price tag of 15~ lakhs. I'll still buy one

Very true.. however best time and place to see bangy super bikes is Sunday morning airport road. Minimal traffic. Try taking anything other than a indian bike on bangalore roads.. Stress and high chance of heart attack. Thats why I stick to my RX during peak hours. For me even a car let alone any exotic bike is only for weekend driving / riding and not for daily use.

I would love to see one of the naked bikes in india. Something like a SV650 is more than enough for me.

Never seen an MT01 in the showroom here. Another surprise is the R6S which sells in US. This is basically the 2005 R6 without all the fancy stuff of the new R6. The riding position is less extreme than the new one, more low end torque. Something that u can actually think of riding regularly. They should bring this to India, ofcourse its not new, and hence less of bragging factor.

A trike in India? I think there is a custom made one in punjab somewhere with a Gypsy engine.

I think the market needs to take baby steps and get some superbikes first.. then maybe a trike. Also I dont think any of the big japs make a Trike.

Most Trikes in the US are custom builds.

Hmm. Sadly what I heard came true. 28,000$ for an R1 is just too steep. However, I am sure there will be a decent response to the bike. There would be quite a few willing to shell out an additional 2 lakhs for peace of mind, warranty, loan facility and totally clean paperwork.

And the prices of grey imports would drop a bit now as well. Which would affect the prices of the used bikes, which in turn is good for us who can't fork out the moolah for a new one.
