The new Ducati Diavel V4 has been caught testing ahead of its global unveil. The new-generation iteration of the power cruiser is expected to receive several significant updates, the most important being the V4 GranTurismo engine which will replace the L-twin on the outgoing model.



The V4 Granturismo engine will be borrowed from the top-spec Multistrada V4 offering, although it will be tuned to match the riding characteristics of the Diavel. On the Multistrada V4, the 1,158cc V4 engine produces 170 BHP @ 10,500 rpm and 124 Nm @ 8,750 rpm.



Reports also state that the new Ducati Diavel V4 will come with a monocoque chassis (replacing the trellis frame) and a new side-mounted swingarm. The spy images of the upcoming Diavel V4 also reveal a unique single-piece exhaust with quad exits.



The Diavel is also expected to get some design and styling updates compared to the outgoing model. The new motorcycle will feature a bunch of electronic rider aids and connected tech as well.

The spy images showcase a near-production-ready prototype, indicating a global launch very soon.

So it's official. Launch is expected soon. Expect the price to be north of 35 lakhs on road her in Kerala, when it launches.




BTW the bike looks much better with full system exhaust.

Can't think of any road here in India that could do this thing justice. You really need a non speed restricted autobahn type thing for a fat cruiser. Not something you'd ride on the track or on kaccha roads

Practicality concerns aside, how has Ducati made the Diavel look even more drop-dead gorgeous?! If I had throwaway money, I'd buy this purely as an art installation and keep it on a Lazy Susanesque plinth in my Art Deco mansion.

Looks like less than 100mm ground clearance from the pics which should be pathetic for Indian conditions. Also the honey comb integrated tail light will be a pain in the a** to clean and maintain any day.

Visually, this bike just didn’t work for me. That exhaust has to be one of the ugliest design features I’ve seen in a long time.

When I think of the recent Streetfighter, the V4S Multi, the Panigale, heck - even the new Monster despite the missing TM trellis frame - they’re all drop dead gorgeous - the Panigale and SF could bloody well be living room art. This one though - plain disappointing.
