Kawasaki has announced the launch of the 2023 KX250 dirt bike in India. It is priced at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Kawasaki KX250 is a track-only dirt bike and receives several upgrades for the 2023 model year. The bike is based on an aluminium perimeter frame and features a Renthal aluminium Fatbar, an adjustable handle & footpegs and slimmer shrouds.
The KX250 is powered by an updated 249cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke engine that features finger-follower valve actuation, revised intake and exhaust ports, a higher rate for the valve spring and a redesigned combustion chamber.
The bike also gets a revised crankcase, flatter piston crown, a hydraulic clutch, new gearing, advanced ignition timing and launch control with three engine maps. Other upgrades include revised suspension settings, new tires, wider footpegs and a longer exhaust header.
The Kawasaki KX250 will be imported via the CBU route.

Wonder why they had to specify ex-showroom for an off-road bike! It's not like you have to pay for registration, insurance or road-tax on it.
It's understandable that it's a CBU and also that there is a dearth of such machines in India, but never thought we will see 250cc and 7.99 lakh mentioned in the same line.

The local dealer's handling charges are also a part of on-road price. :D
