India's 1st & only Aprilia RSV4 XTrenta!

Chanced upon India’s first (and only) Aprilia RSV4 XTrenta at Buddh International Circuit yesterday !

Limited to just 100 units, the XTrenta pays tribute to Aprilia’s rich racing history. The word “trenta” meaning “thirty” in English signifies Aprilia’s three decades of racing history.

The titanium and carbon SC Project exhaust system comes standard in this exclusive Aprilia. Power figures are around 230 bhp and the XTrenta comes with an underwing, which reduces drag coefficient and is apparently a world first on a production motorcycle. The XTrenta presently retails for around € 60000 before taxes and import duties.

Quote:

The six-speed transmission is upgraded with a PBR-branded titanium sprocket that is exclusive to the XTrenta, and the bike uses Taleo Tecnoracing cooling radiators for both oil and water. A specially calibrated Magneti Marelli ECU is used; the electronic suite is controlled by a Jetprime racing panel. Further enhancements include updated Spider footpegs, handlebar levers, and a CNC fuel cap.

Suspension duties are handled by Öhlins suspension modified by Andreani and Aprilia MotoGP engineers. Other tasteful upgrades include a billet steering plate exclusive to Aprilia racing, forged magnesium Marchesini M7R Genesi rims fitted with Pirelli Diablo SBK slick tires in sizes 120/70 and 200/65; an SC-1 compound is used at the front and an SC-X compound at the rear. The wheel’s weight is reduced to 4.4 pounds compared to the standard. Stopping the Aprilia XTrenta are Brembo brakes, including GP4-MS billet Monoblock calipers and 330mm T-drive discs up front.

Coming to the India’s only XTrenta, the motorcycle is numbered 75 out of the 100 units. It is rumoured to have costed around 1.5 Crore (not sure about exact figures after taxes) and is owned by a popular personality in the private trackday space at BIC.

Wow, thanks for sharing, even the Paddock stand seems to be custom painted to match bike paint scheme, or maybe came with the bike!

What is not possible, if you have the money!

Nice find //M. I'm also curious what you were doing at Buddh and how did that experience go. iSBK?

Looks like it could be an official accessory. Multiple owner pics I've seen from abroad have this similar paddock.

PS: S1000RR owners who heavily modify their bikes don't get to comment about the possibilities with money

That’s a high value contribution (pun intended) since its a first hand, informed opinion.

Well if i did have the money, I would have got the M1000RR and not tried to make S1000RR look like one

1.5 cr for a bike is pretty swell!! Hence the thought, but so great to see one of 100 of these these exotics in our country, would love to see it in flesh someday.

Honestly, I was just chilling. Cannonball Club and Ferrari New Delhi had organized a private trackday at BIC. I tagged along with a friend who was participating and that is how I ended up clicking the XTrenta. It was an exhilarating experience and I loved every bit of it. More so as I was asked to lead the bunch of Ferraris on my Hilux for a formation / sighting lap. I was overwhelmed and I immediately obliged !

Not a difficult guess but for the sake of forum rules and owner’s privacy, I would refrain from giving hints here. I shall share details over a DM instead.

Re: India's 1st & only Aprilia RSV4 XTrenta!

Please excuse this noob question but,

Am I the only one who is struggling to get it's value apart from the fact it's limited to 100 units? Can anybody elaborate on why this costs so much? Surely an engine cannot cost like 40 lakhs right? The frame cannot cost like 15 lakhs!! What's the breakup like for this bike?

Re: India's 1st & only Aprilia RSV4 XTrenta!

All that bike is ok except the winglet part.

What next, they will come up with a rear winglet in MotoGP for few years and then incorporate it in a Ducati! Many things are supposed to be handed down from F1 to Aam Janta and MotoGP to bhai log, but winglet just is weird tech to cross over from cars to bikes.

While the breakup of parts isn’t available readily and it would be extremely difficult to compute the same for us enthusiasts, but the cycle parts and sub-parts on the XTrenta are MotoGP derived. Each component on the motorcycle has been put together with the only focus of saving weight and making this the ultimate track weapon. At this level, for a MotoGP race motorcycle, saving even 1 gram without disturbing the geometry of the motorcycle is a substantial accomplishment. It all boils down to the numbers at this level. Downforce, aerodynamics, drag coefficient, power-to-weight ratio, braking power everything matters so much. All this tech plus the fact that this is an exclusive Italian product, makes it one pricey proposition. This is not just a collector’s item, but is something that can set lap records. Not just tech, Aprilia has put in their entire legacy, pedigree, heart and soul in delivering the XTrenta. The numbers speak for themselves - 230 bhp on a motorcycle that weighs just 166 kgs. To put it in perspective, that is more power output than a Skoda Octavia vRS230 in a product that weighs lesser than a KTM Duke 390 !

The closest competition, Ducati Superleggera V4, isn’t cheap either. The Superleggera costs USD 20,000 more than the XTrenta and that is substantially higher.

Re: India's 1st & only Aprilia RSV4 XTrenta!

Owner of this beauty is a gem of a person and owns multiple Ducatis(L-twins & V4s) and another exclusive bike in form of BMW HP4. He is a true blue rider who knows how to put these machines to their best use.
Always a pleasure to check out this gentleman’s collection at BIC.

The price in euros is approx 50,000. That is approx 45 lakh INR converted, rest is all shipping, duties & taxes.
