Superbikes spotted in India

A friend of mine had apparently spotted this motorbike in a Honda showroom in Chennai. From the looks of it, this looks like a motocross bike which can be used for off-roading purposes. Is this the Honda CRF250L? Is Honda (or Kawasaki ?) already planning a competitor to the just-launched Hero Impulse?

It would be great if someone can throw some light on this.

Its not a Honda, its an Altius Scimitar 670 and its a diesel bike.

Well how ironical can it get? Honda is not launching any diesel cars where in matters most -- Indian market. And here they have a diesel bike. Strange indeed.

^^There is one in yellow color too, Performance racing store guy owns it. IIRC it was the replacement for his highly pimped up R1 and the S1000R is also going the same way.

It is indeed Bahrain registered temporary import, the bike is here thru Carnet. If my understanding is correct the bike produces in excess of 220 hp. Freakishly loud Akra full system and PC5.
