I have tried all of the above in India. I am a little unsure about getting from the US as I need something with a big waist but not too tall I am not exactly built like Brad Pitt :(. Hence the need to try it on

Ah, Sir. There you are. I'd begun to wonder at your long silence.
(Fine mesh you got into )

Rajeev, quite a few brands aborad have sizes like L tall, L short, L, and so on. The sizing charts are very precise and accurate. I've bought a HJC Helmet (which is visorless now ), AGV jacket and pair of Fieldsheer gloves from the above three websites going by the sizing charts, and all the three have been a perfect fit.
If you have a store around you which houses any of the commonly known brands, go there and try a couple of jackets, etc.
That will give you a rough idea, and then you can check individual brand sizing charts to be certain.

Manson: Thanks. It was PrabhuAV that asked, but thanks anyway. I don't see myself buying any gear for a while lest I break the Bank.

Sir, it's a '99 Honda FireBlade CBR 919 RR. Have an article and pics on it somewhere on team-bhp.

I have bought everything I have from the US, except for a Cramster jacket that I have. As it is, you will not get much choice here. You just have to go with your waist. The length is usually pretty much like it should be unless you are of abnormal proportions. Besides, all riding pants are adjustable at the wait. Just buy according to the waist.

Off topic: we were discussing over-heating under leathers the other day- I found some interesting products like cooling vests, helmet inserts etc.

Anybody used these thingummies?

I doubt anyone uses them here. All-mesh jackets should do just fine as long as you are moving. You also get heated jackets, pants, gloves and socks that connect straight to the battery of the bike.

I'd love to kit myself out with them. I'm finding this summer especially warm, and that's Bangalore heat which ain't much if you go by Mumbai, Delhi, Nagpur. Also, I commute on my Blade everyday and need to don my jacket to keep me smelling fresh enough for the day's work.

manishasrani: Nice, thanks. Correct me if I'm wrong but one is an FZR, the red one in the middle- a CBR? And I've no clue what the red extreme left goes by. I've an instinct it isn't an inline 4 but could be red-faced kind of mistaken.

Nice to have you back posting exotic pics to educate and titillate the public.

The one on the extreme left is the ZX-12R. The other other two are the CBR 600 F4i & the FZR 1000.
