AFAIK the reason most Kawasaki bikes are relatively inexpensive is because they are imported from Thailand where we have a Free Trade Agreement. However the Z900 SE isn't sold in Thailand and that is imported from Japan which adds a lot of hefty duties which is the reason for it's high price.
Z900 is assembled in their Pune factory. Hence I am wondering why cant they import the RS parts and assemble the bike alongside its sibling. Mechanically, not much is different.

Only difference is that the Z900 is imported from Thailand through the free trade agreement and tariffs, whereas the RS is coming from Japan.
