A biker buddy owns a Kwacker 1400RR and needs to start her up every other day if he is not riding her regularly as the battery tends to lose zest. Unless he has a minor short somewhere in the circuitry, it sounds like a problem we faced on the older generation of cars whose batteries ran dead if the car was used primarily at night.
Then came the newer cars with beefed-up charging systems running alternators, and the problem vanished. Is the problem on the new SBKs because they pare battery capacity in order to save weight? |
