Trip to MotoGP08 - Laguna Seca

It had been a while since I went out on a long ride. This year's MotoGP was an event that I had planned for since the past 6 months. I had reserved a camp site at the Fox Gill Motorcycle campsite, by turn 6. I met a couple guys from LA cooling off at a rest area, and rode with them. They had just bought brand new rides. an R1 and a GSXR1000. It was a fun ride to Monterey from San Diego. A pic of these 2 guys inhaling something.

My ride with a sleeping bad, a tent, and a tank bag with essentials. This time it had a camera as well.

Great pics! Love the one of the parking lot, when will we ever get to see something like that in India.
It would be nice if you could also speak about the experience of watching a MotoGP race live!

Lovely images...And you got a bird's eye-view of Corkscrew? Amazing...I think it is the most exciting corner in MOTOGP because of the sudden change in elevation....

The photos of the riders...are they of AMA Superbikers?

Yes it was, Stoner got the lead a few times but Rossi overtook him at turn 5 right in front of me, that was quite a sight. This was my first time at Moto GP, so the sights and sounds were simply incredible. Since I was there by myself, I did make a few good friends, folks rode in from all over to the camp site. My neighbors were from Vancouver, BC, cannada. Great gus to hang out with.

Hi Bhupi,
I knew I would get caught once I start posting pics. I just got bored of an Id that had my entire name in it, and I could not figure out a way to change it, so created a new one with my favourite Linux distro as the ID.

The weather was great for riding, low 60s, just chill enough to wear a full suit, and not feel warm inside.
