Wanted Race Engineer – 2009 Race Season & On

Hello All,

This is not a joke but I am seriously looking for a “Race Engineer”, I perfectly understand that there are no Jeremy Bergers in India but I am looking at someone who would like to start fresh and learn the trade and help me develop my bike and my riding

This is what I am looking for (Professional)
1.Overall general knowledge of Motorcycles, some experience with super sport bikes
2.Basic Mechanical Knowledge
3.Ability to learn from reading up manuals
4.Can think out of the box for solutions
5.Innovative ideas to find the extra grip or speed
6.Willing to learn on the job
7.Good documentation skills – English
8.Ability to work out schedules and process in bike preparation
9.Ability to use a computer, Windows / Office / Email / Internet

Personality –
1.Very competitive nature
2.Willing to go the distance, should not give up!
3.Based out of either Chennai / Bangalore or surrounding areas
4.Willing to spend weekends / Sundays / holidays at the race track, basically commit to the entire year.
5.Team working skill
6.People skill

What is the job ?
1.To ensure the bike is ready for Racing / Testing (work out pre – race / testing schedule)
2.To review data logging and discuss areas of where I am slow and figure out together how we can increase the speed in those sections
3.Ensure that bike is running the Target – AFR
4.To dial in suspension and ECU maps based on track and conditions
5.Constantly work on how to find a few extra 1/10 seconds
6.Supervise mechanics and ensure everything is perfect (there is no compromise in racing with mechanicals)
7.Reading Tires and understanding suspension changes and how to improve rider feel.
8.Provide accurate feedback about the competition.
9.The bike is your property and you are responsible for it in all aspects

What bike is it?
1.Honda CBR600RR 05/06
2.Suspension being used
A.WP4618 Rear & WP Full front Cartridge set
B.HRC Showa rear & Front Cartridge set
3.ECU & Tuning Interface
A. HRC ECU –
B. HRC 4D Race Software
4.Data Logging
A. HRC full super stock package – No Telemetry
B. HRC 4D Software

2008 1st runner up in the JK NRRC, the is bike is quite fast, we need to figure out how to take it to the next level.

Payment, basically I am racing on a shoe string budget, but I am willing to share 30% of my race wining and endorsement money. Basically there is no major future in racing but the passion must drive you.
I understand that most of this will be way out of your league but I am willing to teach you everything I know and I will concentrate on riding and you work on the setup, I can’t do both and mount a title challenge against the best riders in our country.

If this kind of stuff excites and you think you are the right person to go the distance, send me a mail isbkracing@gmail.com or a PM. Tell me briefly what experience you have and also how you could contribute to a season of racing.
